Workflow Videos Questions

I have an odd question for you guys! So I have at times recorded videos of my art process, and I've been wanting to share them with you on here.

However, I'm unsure about two things:

1) Is there a good FLV --> MP4 video converter for Mac? Or is there a process that can do it?

2) Do you guys want timelapse videos or realtime ones? I'm not providing commentary during the videos, so it may be boring if it's silent. I'm worried putting my custom music on them might be a copyright issue (or may just drive people away with my weird music tastes XD )

I actually recorded these months ago, but I've been so busy I haven't had time to really prep them. I tried some conversion software but the videos came out heavily compressed despite whatever I set it to. Pretty annoying.

I want to add commentary in future videos. Maybe I'll just share my thoughts on topics, so I can do pre-video Q&A topics and answer stuff for you guys. Might be fun!

Any help or advice is appreciated!

As for item #2 - If you're going to do any time-lapse try to put in some commentary to discuss what we'll be seeing in that segment (this may require you to break it up into smaller parts, but any commentary's always helpful).

For item #1 - not sure, but with me going to a huge astronomy campout (and there's a TON of amateurs doing imaging) I'll ask around.

Handbreak for Mac works perfectly and is simple to use (better still free). There's instructions here for the process. https://www.iskysoft.com/video-solution/handbrake-flv-to-mp4.html

I use Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate To Convert My Videos As Well To Edit It With Wondershare Filmora

Timothy Cardenas

I actually tried this one, and it's the one that was giving me weird compression issues, no matter what I set it to. I guess I could try it again. I like darkwave and ambient stuff. Got plenty of it on hand!

I just have iMovie, which came with my Mac. I'm not really sure I want to buy editing software like Vegas, as I likely wouldn't use it except to convert and timelapse vids <:3 are="" for="" had="" i="" idea.="" info="" no="" oh="" okay="" remixes="" thanks="" the="">

What editing software do you have? I use Sony Vegas pro, and they convert to MP4 honestly you could do both time lapse and normal on your videos pick and choose which one like if people ask more common questions how to do certain things then commentate or add subtitles with editing software you could record your voice over your videos in post commentary as for music use video game music or remixes to avoid copyrighted material I hope any of this helps let me know if you have any questions

Free MP4 converter app for Mac DL, compatible with FLV. - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/free-mp4-converter/id693443591?mt=12&ign-mpt=uo%3D8 As for real-time or time-lapse...I personally would like to see time lapse videos, as long as they're not too fast. And with music, everyone would like Tycho, who is an a musician who makes wonderful electronic ambient music. I've heard the darkwave stuff and I personally like it, but it wouldn't fit an art process vid as well as Tycho.
