These dudes aren’t that much of a fanboy, so they view things reasonably and from their perspective. Those two are rivals in terms of strength, that’s why oda put them side by side. They are meant to be luffy’s right and left hand man. They aren’t competing against each other because one has more bitches than the other but because one doesn’t want to be weaker than other. Although we all know zoro is stronger, but zoro aint closer to luffy at all, far from it. Only zoro stans likes to think that.
