Wildflowers on film - Part 1

Wildflowers are everywhere right now, and I'm in heaven. They're so unique and delicate, and the array of colors just makes my heart happy. This is the first bouquet that I picked this season. I had originally hoped to shoot this set in color as well, but the battery in my Pentax K1000 died. Both of my main cameras have built in light meters and I don't have a backup so I had to wait for a new battery to shoot my roll of color. But, I did! So, there will be another set, with a different bouquet, in color. Really excited to share those as well.

Wildflowers have always been special to me. They remind me of my own femininity and new growth, and I feel those are two things that my self portrait work has also helped me to truly embrace this last year. The last two images are my favorite, and I actually love that they're in B&W. Looking forward to sharing more <3 j
