New payment processor, Pride, Rubber Ball, moving | TheDuchy

Hi everyone!

I've got a few updates to share with you regarding TheDuchy and our operations.

New payment processor

We will soon be implementing a new payment processor for those who are members directly through the site. Since December, we have encountered several problems with our current payment processor, as have some of you. I truly apologize for the inconvenience this has caused those of you impacted, and I am happy to announce that things should be running much smoother moving forward. This is the result of months of work and negotiation behind the scenes.  The new process will also allow TheDuchy to accept payments not only from Visa, Mastercard and Discover, but also from American Express, JCB, Diner’s Club, and UnionPay. Also, in the future it should allow us to offer payment through Alipay, WeePay and others that many have been asking for!

Pride

As some of you may already know, myself and Blue (my model)were supposed to be in the San Francisco Pride parade on June 30th. However, on the morning of the parade we were informed that one of the TV producers who would be televising the parade would not permit us to be in the parade. Apparently fully clothed people in rope (gasp!) would have been too "indecent" for the parade … and if you know anything about Pride (and San Francisco for that matter) you'll find that as ridiculous as I do. But as previously posted, in an attempt to salvage the day, we did some guerrilla ties in the street using the beautiful rope that Twisted Monk provided specifically for the parade.

Rubber Ball USA

While that public appearance went sideways, our next one was a smashing success! We were invited to return as performers for the largest latex & rubber fetish party in the U.S., Rubber Ball. Rubber Ball was on July 20th this year and in St. Paul, MN. We did a choreographed performance focused on exploding ties and suffering.  It was loads of fun and was well received.  When the event photographer releases the pictures, we will share some of them.

Moving

And, as if the summer wasn't busy enough, we are moving! While I do my best to maintain a consistent release schedule, the special events this summer (combined with a mid-summer move) has thrown things off a bit as we break down and redesign our studio in a new space. We are focusing on CAS and BTS tutorials during the transition until we have things fully operational in the new space. We also shot some material in our old space before we moved, so that will be coming out shortly while we get the studio rebuilt in the new location.

As always, I would love to hear your thoughts as a member of TheDuchy and the rope community. What would you like to see more of when it comes to educational rope bondage? Are there any specific ties that you would like to see explained? Any feedback or inspirational leads you may have would be greatly appreciated (even if it is just to say that you are happy with things and have no feedback at all). I will read and consider every response.
