Kyo literally told Hina that he wouldn't root for her because of his friendship with Taiki. He's not picking sides; he just wants his friend to carefully consider his feelings/options before making a decision. Also, you can't put blame on Hina for pursuing him. She still hasn't been rejected, Taiki even acknowledged himself that he hasn't given her an answer. Until he does, she's free to do what she wants as far as I'm concerned
