That the game losers are trash and the winners are getting this amazing gift that they are so grateful for. It’s not enough to just kill Gi-hun. In-ho needs to convince Gi-hun to see the world the same way that he does. Otherwise all the logic he has invented in order to justify his own existence falls apart.

I’m just a little surprised that none of the 3 military trained players thought to point out one of the biggest flaws with Gi-Hun’s plan. Which was that there was a major possibility that they’d be outmanned and outgunned in that facility. The games originally started with 456 players total. You’d have to have serious man power to transport all those people to the island, change their outfits, AND place their bodies on those bunks before they wake up. I would at least assume the number of employees on that island were at least around a 1,000 people to keep the operation running. But when Gi-hun was discussing his plan he was basically talking to about 15 of the 200 something remaining people.

Gi-Hun’s plan was awful. But I get it, his character isn’t exactly super smart or takes time to plan things out. Which is why he came up with this last minute half hazard plan to try to stop the games with a shootout. Even if he hypothetically made it to the control room and the front man was in there (even though we the viewers know that he wasn’t there). What was Gi-Hun going to do? Hold the front man hostage and demand that whatever Illuminatiesque group of insanely wealthy people funding it stop the games forever? Did he not think that they can just replace the front man with someone else if he ever got caught?

prediction for season 3: the shaman isnt all talk and has some predictions that will come true. she was looking at the pregant girl and then to gi hun and said (paraphasing) "there is a reason you came back here". based on that: gi hun will sacrifice himself to save pregnant girl and she will survive to leave. rather she is the only winner like season 1 or not is up in the air, but since they are heavily focusing on the vote this season, my guess is they wont make it to the last game and just leave via a majority vote.

I don't feel he is being a hypocrite. It's probably at this point Gihun just understands that this way is the path of least death which is taking down the organization directly. In order to do that they needed the guns and to get the guns they needed some victims so that they can play dead. Otherwise, the games will continue forever with no change. Given understands that he needs to take out the people at the top. Of course, currently his methods are crude and ineffective to say the least. Alternatively, they can just take another vote, play the game and probably all but one of them dies which doesn't really change anything.

I have a theory that Frontman is on the same vengeance energy as Gi-hun but he is taking a more clever approach. They are like two different sides to the same coin; Gi-hun still being naive and playing hero while Frontman is clever and playing villain. Gi-hun is definitely in over his head and thought he could just waltz in and tell everyone to stop and they would just listen to him lol but Frontman knows you can't beat the system unless you join them and then take them down from the inside...cause he has a similar story to Gi-hun when it comes to losing his family and his livelihood. Gi-hun lies to himself and tells himself that he's a hero looking out for everyone's best interest while simultaneously deciding to "sacrifice" the X's in that special game, but Frontman knows he's not a good person and has decided to become something he hates (a killer and a part of these games) in order to destroy the game makers and maybe even himself. It would also be cool if this theory is true because it would mean that both brothers (cop and frontman) are infiltrators. Also, frontman is literally the only character we have left who has the power to do anything🥲so if he's not on the same vengeance energy as Gi-hun, then they're cooked lol

The same could be said about the other group, there are definitely more triangles/soldiers than squares/managers, so even if Dae-ho wasn't a bitch and came back with the magazines, that would only prolong the battle a little bit. And we haven't seen a single round in this fight either, so nah, the plan only works in Gi-hun's mind.

They were literally right outside the control room when 001 put an end to it and the only thing that kept Gihun and Jungbae stuck outside the control room was the fact they ran out of ammo and the were too many soldiers on the steps outside the control room. There were 8 soldiers on the control room steps, Gihun and Jungbae killed 3 which left 5. If 001 had not interfered by calling more soldiers into the players room, 120 would've been able to get the ammo to Gihun. Then it would've been Gihun, Jungbae, the 2 players that 001 killed, and the 2 players that got left behind at their first rally point with all the ammo 120 retrieved. That would've given them 7 players with more ammo outside the control room vs the 5 soldiers that were left in that area. That wouldve increased their odds of making into the control room. What wouldve happened once they were inside the control room, i cant say. Im not saying Gihun wouldve been able to successfully complete his whole plan and shut the game down, im only saying at the very least they wouldve made it inside the control room had 001 not inferred. Why do you think 001 chose that point to call it quits after he had already let everything else happen? Because they were about to get more ammo and make it inside and he couldn't have that so he had to shut it down

i think Dae-ho is supposed to have PTSD and is in the midst of an episode when they're shooting which is why he ends up retreating. Throughout it's clear although he's proud to be a marine because it's tied to his sense of masculinity - the time it self is very traumatising for him (hence why in earlier episodes he wanted to change the subject)

I want the games to be destroyed, but I want the mc to die doing it or realize, that these "games" will never actually stop. I also want the front man to die, because I think that would just complete his character. To me the front man doesn't really care if he lives or dies. Someone traumatized from an incident like that may not be too badly affected by scattered gunshots, but having a bunch of people shoot directly at you and your friends? That could do it. Read my comment further up in the discussion. Someone mentioned he's probably based off a survivor from a real incident that happened in the marines in 2011. If he is based off one of the survivors then he would have ptsd. Even without that knowledge, to me it seemed very obvious he has ptsd. He was showing so many signs of it. He was trying to help, but couldn't hold the gun properly. So he most likely volunteered so the others could continue using the guns while he went to get ammo. He was doing the best he could in that situation. As far as him "showing off" about being a marine, he was more excited to meet another marine than anything. He's silly and liked to goof around and most likely tried to keep up a positive attitude about being a marine so he wouldn't be reminded of or had to talk about anything traumatizing.

If you think about it, Gihun's plan would've worked if 001 hadn't been there. 001 sabotaging by sending in more troop prevented ole girl from being able to come back with the magazines and then he killed their other 2 in the back. Had ole girl been able to get back with the mags they likely wouldve had enough ammo to make it to Gihun and overpower the ones holding Gihun at bay. Now, whether Gihuns plan was gonna succeed all the way to stopping the game i cant say but without 001 interference he definitely wouldve made it to the control room and been in a much better position in the 2nd half of the season

I think the season as a whole was still enjoyable, latter half of the episode definitely dragged because it just turned into a 30 minute shoot out but they had to find a way to tie this into the closing act, for sure more of a filler season though

That's actually crazy. But that makes sense why he clammed up here and not in other instances where people were getting shot. With him having a gun this time and everything, this shootout probably hit a little too close to home. It's easy to be disappointed in him and even I was upset at him, but seeing him curled up and crying in a corner of the room was heartbreaking.

It would have been fine if she was killed earlier on, but dragging their side story out for the entire season to do nothing with it was a waste of time, a good actress, and other potential plot points. It was less about it not being satisfying, and more about it literally going nowhere and being a ball drop. What did we learn from her death and Minsu's character's survival -- cowardly people are cowardly? People die when they're killed? lol It was something we didn't need to spend the entire season on imo Her death left no impact emotionally or storywise for me, and neither does his survival.

Like people are so focused on, "This was their choice. You shouldn't help these people" while ignoring that this whole situation was set up to be unfair. None of these people have an actual choice in their lives anymore. And despite how much the employees say that they give people freedom, they don't. Otherwise, the game master wouldn't be in the game manipulating votes and people's performances. Higher-ups being able to put themselves in the games automatically makes the game unfair. In regards to Gi-hun's plan, this applies too. He can't predict that the literal game master would be in the game cozying up to him. His plan wasn't flawless, but I don't see anybody else coming up with any other plans to end the games.

I was personally a big fan of Semi, so I wanted her around longer, but I think there's been this shift in media where people think every character in a show has to be narratively significant. They're killing people in a killing competition; some of them are going to die without satisfying ends to their plotlines because that's the point -- most of these contestants are normal ass people in unfair circumstances with lives we never get to know about.

He really shouldn't feel bad other than the normal empathy for people dying. People on the X team were dying either way because people on the O team were bloodthirsty. Taking the fight to headquarters means that those sacrifices mean something instead of people dying just for them to continue to be rats for the game masters. The plan wasn't even dumb. You don't have to see combat to have ptsd from being in the military. Crazy things happen in the military. For all we know he could have been abused in various different ways while in there. When the player approached him to gather the ammo he had collected, did you see how afraid he was? He flinched away from her as a reflex. I think that, even if Dae ho didn't see combat, he saw and experienced other horrible things in the military. Looking back during the other games, he never lost it when other players were shot. He didn't start acting terrified until the intense fighting started.

My only issue with Gi's plan was him possibly endangering everyone else left back at the beds. Regardless if acted on his heroic plan or not, people would have died from the O team. Why not try to capitalize on the situation and try to end the games permanently. I think he's biggest hurdle was Player 001 on his Light Yagami shit, maybe things would've ended differently? Yeah the plan had alot faults in it, but there's no guarantee you're going home if the opposite team kills most of their players anyway. Both situations were a gamble which fucking blows.

I don't understand the hate and bashing towards Dae ho. Who here could confidently say "Oh yeah I'd be totally fine and thinking straight during all this. I wouldn't get traumatized at all". If anything it's crazy how the others were still fighting. All these people, military or not, are not flawless superheros with main character energy or god complexes. Dae ho's response is normal and human for most people in that kind of a situation. Which is why the other player didn't yell at him or confront him when she found him hiding. She understood he couldn't handle and it's fine. Dae ho did try to help. He knew he was too afraid to hold the gun steady to shoot so he tried to collect the ammo, but it was just too much. I disagree the whole sideplot was a waste of time and accomplished nothing, also the first season was way more intense and the stakes felt like they were much higher . Also the cliffhanger was terrible and was just too abrupt this season doesnt feel like a complete package when it was cut in the middle of the action.

I don’t think the Pink soldiers were informed ahead of time that their boss was about to CLAP 47 of them with a confetti of bullets in a squid game rebellion. Niggas would not have left their rooms 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 -IF the pink soldiers have never seen the boss’ face, they were still probably given instructions “DO NOT KILL PLAYER 001 UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES” -theory: captain “drong” is trying to get the boat crew back out to the pier because the VIPs show up for the 4th & final game in a helicopter, which would draw attention to the location of the island AND/OR captain “drong” is the transporter of the harvested organs & the pink scuba guys are on their way to drop them off to him. -I think Dae-ho really was a marine but he suffers from PTSD & never really made it through combat. I guess the “combat” & “war” aspect from the take-over triggered it for him vs. hearing gunfire during the games. -theory: something is off about Min-Su. I think he’s connected to someone from the games (VIP client’s son). Idk why. It’s a stretch. He just doesn’t, “fit”. I’m not sure what I mean by that but idk. It’s weird lol. Honestly, there is still too much unknown about 388, the marine/fake marine guy to come to a conclusion yet. He could be a fake marine like ya'll said, though he still served cause they all have to in korea. However, I think the more likely situation is that he is actually a marine, but this was a his first combat and he freaked. It can happen to even real soldiers who go into combat for the first time, and then panic and all their training out the window. Not everyone is built for it, and even training can only help so much.

I really don't think it was that bad of a plan. It only fell apart because one of the recruited members was the head dude in charge. If Black Mask guy isn't there, they 100% would at least get to the control room. The plan was only cooked because the organizers of the game literally rig the game in their favor all of the time. Been loving season 2 so far. Front man and Gi-hun’s dynamic was excellent. I think the Front man was actually curious to see what Gi hun would come up with. But in the end Gi-hun never realized that the people were just as the fault as the organizers of the game. It became more about revenge than saving anyone. And I think the front man realized that when Gi-hun couldn’t make the call to start killing the players who chose to stay. Phenomenal season for me and great reaction. Cant wait to see how this wraps up.

The thing about Player 388 is that we really really don't know much about his situation. From what he's said before, I assume him and his father definitely have issues. Maybe even mistreatment like physical abuse when you see how he responds to Player 120 approaching him. Maybe he's been to war and traumatized, but that doesn't work because of how inefficient he is with a gun. He definitely has some luggage and whatever it is, it's unfortunate.

Hyun-ju was the best character this season. I knew she was going to be my favourite from the tied leg race episodes, but this episode cemented it. It felt like she was almost as much a main character as Gi-hun at times. Overall liked this season a lot more than the first season, but it's also kind of hard to say given that it's not a complete story like season one. Looking forward to the conclusion when it comes later this year hopefully.

this episode in my opinion solidified gihun's change perfectly. he judged sangwoo in s1 for pushing the man off the glass bridge so they could jump in time but didn't even hesitate to sacrifice multiple lives this episode just so he could get his revenge. I like how even in his generosity (his "I'm going to save us all!" mindset) he's selfish and still very much short-sighted and impulsive, to him this is still gambling in a way, the same thing that got him into the games in the first place... or at least that's how I see it!
