What a perfect visual metaphor for Logan's relationship with his children. Instead of talking and being empathetic with Kendall, as he is the only one that could ever discuss the truth with him and help him eventually work through it...the most he can do is use his wealth and power to literally construct a barrier to keep Kendall subdued, while saying nothing. I'm not even sure if he is more worried about Kendall actually killing himself or the blowback that could have on him and his company. The fact that the hug between Kendall and Shiv was surprising to her was so heartbreaking. It really drives home just how guarded and suspicious they all are OF THEIR OWN FAMILY, because of the amount of money and power involved in everything they do. Genuine moments and being trusting can be a weakness, so they have trained themselves out of it, with the exception of Connor.
