A child raised himself for years while hiding from the monsters because it was Boyd who came when Victor's a middle aged man and found the talismans. Every time I feel a little annoyed I immediately remind myself of his circumstances. The man is mentally stunted and I dont know how he even functions after being there for so long. Everybody else I judge their lack of communication. Also, they know victor's been there since he was a kid so they should've asked him more questions. It's evident people did not communicate because they had to hide then they were just focused on surviving after Boyd. These circumstances caused them to not ask Victor questions throughout the years which kept him in this childlike. I remember he said no one's been that nice to him before or something like that so they didnt talk to him much. How would he able to open up under all these circumstances? He's cooked. These are the thoughts that help me to be more mindful with him ONLY LOL

That doesn't exactly answer any questions or present any solutions to getting out of the town which is the main goal everyone has. Yea, you could argue Boyd can at least try to brainstorm with someone but when everyone else who Boyd trusts in the town is either on the edge of snapping themselves or actively hate his guts, what good would telling them that crazy shit do besides make them go over the edge?

2025-01-04 01:09:22 +0000 UTCIt's not a matter of if people will believe the crazy shit that is happening, it's more no one has any idea how to properly talk about what they saw and experienced in a way that makes sense. They also don't wanna get people riled up and have them chase down leads that lead nowhere and can get them killed. As for the town meeting, this isn't a spoiler really but something happens in S3 where the town does have a big collective meeting and address almost everything that has happened in the show up to this point and it just becomes a shit flinging fest cuz no one really has the answers the rest of the town wants. So the show does acknowledge why characters can be very flaky and seem secretive when in reality they just dunno how tf to explain the stuff going on around them in a way that makes sense.

He's like a broken puzzle with a lot of answers, but he's also a man whose been here so long his maturity is stunted, and has more trauma than a Vietnam Vet. Even then he's works up the bravery to help other people, by saving lives or delving into his horror filled past to find them answers. The actual GOAT of this series.
