It's crazy because as a writer when all you do is focus mostly on dialogue, you can tell when there's great writing, shit acting/shit writing, great acting, etc. The writing, imo, is REALLLY good. It's gripping, engaging, it reflects each character accurately, most of the lines do not feel plain, at least until you get into late S2-early 3, then it gets a bit repetitive but it's not bad at all. But I'm ngl, a lot of the actors on this show are... a bit lukewarm when it comes to delivering their lines. It's not bad but I feel it could have lived up to the same level as Boyd, Donna, the man-child seer and the genius asshole guy (my favorite characters so far by acting and writing). I think the big issue I have is there just doesn't seem to be a lot of TRAUMA that is prevalent throughout the show. Donna and Boyd deliver it well, but the rest of the characters seem more like they're just going about normal business, when in reality there are so many mental ailments, paranoia, insanity, etc. that haven't aptly been demonstrated to a high degree. If you're stuck in a pocket dimension full of creatures that want to torture you to death, that HAS to have some insanely serious mental implications. I think they could have hit a bit higher on that mark, but overall the show so far is like an 8.5/10 for me, EXTREMELY engaging and thrilling plot with compelling and lively characters that don't let eyes wander from the screen for long.

Now if people are worried that their sheriff is “sick” or might be infected by one of the monsters(he got worms crawling under his skin) they might just lose their shit. You guys remember when they were just a bit short on supplies they wanted to raid the Dinner, Boyd stopped that. The people in that town don’t think rationally, they think based on fear, they are controlled by that fear cause that’s the only thing they know now. And Jim and Donna convo explained the radio thing. They just don’t have enough info to tell people “hey you know the radio tower we built? Yeah some creepy guy was talking over the radio like he could see what we are doing, plus he told me that my wife shouldn’t be digging a hole at my house….”
