Definitely agree on the ending point by roshi.The first three seasons including 4 are by far my favorite personally with the pacing,ost,epic episodes Season 5 was a ok season enjoyed it.S6,7 are definitely hits overall the seasons of mha were definitely enjoyable and thrilling.

I really like the overall perspective Toga, Shigaraki and Dabi they represent the side product of hero society there must be outcast for their to be heroes. How you just kill the "real" villains and hide it because heroes don't kill, but they do. I really thing in parellel with One for all Deku being the last user, that they will decide to use Eri power to "Quirk sterilize" the future generations. Shigaraki said that his arm attack, represented the future grow of quirks and how they could not be controlled by their future users. If they did that human civilisation would move forward, i think they are like in the 23 or 24 century and it looks very much like current Japan so pretty stagnated

Got a few minutes while putting my baby to sleep so I’m gonna yap to no one.. It’s a tried and true (and worn) discussion at this point, but the discourse about MHA and its villains gets a bit silly sometimes. The big one is always Dabi/Endeavor. The latter is a man who genuinely saved thousands of lives throughout his career, has constantly refused interviews and promos or selling out (unlike so many other heroes who wanted the spotlight) and allowed his work to speak for itself, and is to this day held in high regard by his peers and employees. He’s quite essentially Bakugo without Deku knocking sense into him. He simply wanted to stand at the top and be the best hero, period. Thats what it meant to be great, to be strong. He then gets blinded by his growing ambition (which, ironically enough, is admittedly also what pushed him to be as powerful as he is now when others gave up on growing, and is why he’s such an asset atm), and he made a genuine series of fucked up mistakes (quirk marriage, breeding with a purpose, pushing his dreams and expectations onto his children, DV). Awful, awful actions. Absolutely disappointing and hurtful. Actions he knows he can’t rightly expect to be forgotten for. But even writing off that promise of redemption, he’s strived endlessly to atone now that he’s realized his errors. Like, he has not changed up at all since his maturing; he’s stool to his path of doing right. He wants to help his family heal and move past him, no matter what. Motherfuckers out there would rather this guy NOT acknowledge his short sighted, fucked up wrongdoings and try to change (without any hint of reward, mind you!) and improve his victims’ lives? Huh?? Then they’ll turn around and say Dabi, a gleeful and unrepentant mass murderer (as opposed to his dad, a mass-savior?) and attempted kinslayer is the victim and the hero of his story? He’s somehow justified in his evil because his dad put unhealthy, unrealistic, toxic dreams on him and then later told him to give up and move on (in a clumsy but not wrong effort to save Toya’s life) when the father found out his sons quirk hurt him. Like… how are these comparable? I get that there’s nuance to this, but holy crap. These people who “hate” Endeavor don’t hate immorality so much as they desire to be seen as morally perfect/superior, as well as excise their own demons on this character as a stand in for their real life issues. I understand I’m considered an “unc” more often these days, but I can’t help but notice these people are often young, typically drawn to cool, angsty, and nihilistic characters, and equally opposed to older, parental and flawed characters who reflect any form of establishment. It makes sense, but it’s disappointing nonetheless. The reason it’s disappointing is because I actually think, despite his flaws, Horikoshi is a fantastic writer and the rare one who truly believes in good vs evil without disregarding what it is in individuals and in society at large that drives people to commit said evil. He has more nuance and patience with his work than many of his peers and I feel like that discourse sort of muddies that because, well, as silly and immature as MhA is sometimes, it’s still frankly too mature for some of its readers. 🤷🏽‍♂️

To be real... Toga might be alright if she had someone like Deku to just let her have his blood daily, not necessarily killing them. That's probably the only way she could've survived in this society. Counseling wouldn't eliminate the thirst of her quirk. Sort of like Tamayo in Demon Slayer... they're demons that need blood, and they get what they need through donated blood via transfusions. Toga's parents needed to show her a way to manage her quirk, they should've been the ones to give her a little blood consistently instead of just telling her to "be normal", as if that was going to work. She's an example of the doomsday quirk theory, when quirks evolve to beyond what's sensible or manageable in society.

Thank you Sheera for dropping some wisdom in the end. All the villains in this show are a product of being born with a fucked up quirk that made them rejected by society, so they responded by pretty much saying "fuck society". Like Toga for example, her quirk makes her naturally attracted to blood and everyone thought she was weird and ostracized her so she was kinda fucked from birth. Or they had a messed up family situation like Dabi and Shigaraki that ended with them being messed up in the head. They all definitely need to be put down but it's still understandable how they became the way they did. The only villain with no redeeming qualities is All For One. He was pretty much always trash from the start to now and created/manipulated most of the villains that we know of.

Yo, I appreciate they didn't just drop a bunch of storylines. Toga could have easily been written out. Stain could've been completely forgotten. All for one could have rotted in jail and never seen again. The subtle set up for Aoyama... You get the point! Toga might be the most mentally perplexing character I've ever seen, and that's a lot for a character with such little screen time. They really did a great job of selling her particular brand of crazy, and I appreciate that. Makes me wish she was like this from the beginning... which she was... which is even crazier writing. You're absolutely right about the direction this season. Bones got a new series director for season 7, Naomi Nakayama, and it feels like she's been showing off. Even just stuff like the lighting in certain scenes feels like it's been better than in the past.
