It's Okay to Not Be Okay Ep 7

glad to see this new perspective!

Comments

Yo, both you guys and this show really do excuse a lot the fuck shit Ko Moon-young does sometimes. Even if it's for a good reason or it works out, in a different show she'd be the villain. Manipulating the guy's mentality challenged brother to get what she wants. Taking the women's last tie to her dead daughter. The show makes sense of it but goddamn is it fucked up

Jamaal Ellison

All her stories are so dark lol

Angelic Haven

Hahhahaha!!! I said that’s that trapped in the closet shit.

That’s crazy Gang Tae only remembered the bad in a sense when it came to his brother and mother. The small attention she could only give him didn’t outweigh the burden he felt as a child. I cried a river of tears when he was laying bed with his brother and he finally realized. Loved how everyone was able to remove burdens they’ve held onto (psych lady and the shawl, and then our main FL cutting her hair.)

Ko Mun-yeong so gawd damn fine, like whyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?!?!?!?!?!? update: drunken mother flashbacks made me tear up. w episode

The way I see it Jaesu is just trying to feel appreciated as someone who considers Gangtae his best friend. But Gangtae is always neglecting their friendship. I mean Jaesu is literally always helping them by going with them wherever they go and looking after both Gangtae and Sangtae. Jaesu is definitely overbearing but not annoying. He’s just looking out for the people he cares about.

Yeah I side with Bria in that she has a very direct way of embracing her selfish whims that often helps people. I feel she has a very direct way of reading people and being honest.

I may be biased because I root for both ladies but to me that's different. Homegirl from itowan class was actively trying to boss up the main character. The same way that Ko forced the main character here to come put of his shell. I feel both were more effective in supporting the main characters.

phantomzxro1

This is Juri's backstory until she bossed up and became a Celebrity

Nick

Her neck looks so long with that hair cut

Random Guy

Roshi even acting as her at the end. Maybe he is slightly mad.

Sasha

I will not tolerate attacks on kid Gang-tae.

Sasha

yi-seo from iteawon class literally was doing the same thing nam joo ri is doing now an yall loved that, getting rejected for years everyday and annoying him but yall were like "go get ur man"

Mellow.grizzly

Why every time Roshi start singing the R I happen to be drinking something, I've almost choked twice now 😂

A. P.

I used to get pizza from Pizza Alvolo a lot. They are super delicious lol

Agree to disagree! Munyeong is incredibly selfish and materialistic but I don’t think they would’ve included the scene mentioning the emotional attachment of the shawl immediately before the fact if she hadn’t asked for it at least partially intentionally. Even before her character development she was never necessarily cruel and tried to give blunt life lessons, we saw that with the little girl and her unstable dad.

Bria A.

I agree with the assistant thing, but I don't think MunYeong had any Idea what the shawl meant to that lady. We've been told repeatedly that acts in her own self interests, so I'm sure she literally just wanted to be compensated for the trouble that lady caused her.

Infinite Ree

I'm not sure why y'all think the assistant is into the manager. I never got that vibe at all. Seems like she can't stand him

Infinite Ree

She’s also supporting cast in another k-drama called Her Private Life where she’s kinda just as goofy but far less shy. I watched it after IOTNBO so it was wild seeing her play a married mother.

Bria A.

How is it that loud... imagine if you are having sex inside that room then it'll be heard all over the house

Random Guy

So Roshi . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHnTocdD7sk I believe the earworm you were experiencing for two reactions was the Weird Al Yankovic song "Trapped in the Drive-Thru."

Kalas Wing

The Baek Hee Sung trauma is real😂 Check out 'ballerina'

Mouka

the actor that plays gangtae gets me every time, he's just way too good

beannieswife

👀u might be on to something

hyakimaru dono

Juri is in denial fr

Fiona

if yall like the mc, Queen of Tears is mad popular rn

Nick

Manager's assistant is one of my favorite characters. She kinda like an alien in the best way. Alien Waifu

J Man

the assisant/ director lady is not into Mr. Lee I don't even see how yall get those vibes lol. but man the scene where he realizes mom did indeed care for him as well love it

Sham Sham

lol the cut to the nasty pizza and Roshi's resigned look of disgust. lol!!! both of y'all hate to see that pizza--but then again, no one does haha!

raeven b.

"and I looked at her? And she looked at me? Who is he? [F'n R.... Kelly]!!!"

J Man

And he's good at bowling. And he's been around for years too and he's still super popular. The first drama with him i seen was "Your love from a star" and it was a masterpiece of a romcom drama

Oni Tyrone

It’s funny how they looked at Seung-jae and the manager’s dynamic and went totally left. That woman does not like him romantically, she barely likes him professionally 😭 But different interpretations are very interesting. By the way, Munyeong did know the significance of the shawl because that one inpatient who cries a lot was rambling about it to her just before she went outside. She took it on purpose. She’s always trying to help (in incredibly dysfunctional ways).

Bria A.

We goin rename Truck Kun to Baek Hee Sung Kun

J Man

I wud be too 🤷‍♂️ the guy was a menace on wheels😂

Jay

Not more than me

Helpy

By the way, Gang Tae's actor is the highest paid actor in Korea currently.

J Man
