2024-04-03 00:16:02 +0000 UTC"she has no powers so she cant be a member anymore" "she is now completely useless" chris claremont: read my comics. also its not done "just for plot". its one of storm's best and most celebrated storyarcs from the comics that lasted for like 2 years but with the way they are speed running it can be wrapped by episode 3. this show has finally put into perspective what you guys felt watching one piece and yuyu hakusho live action. without context, i didnt know what i was missing. storm lost her powers in issue 185. the trial of magneto was issue 199-201. see how much of a gap in time that was? they mushed that all together to happen at the same time and without the drama of it being rogue that storm jumped in front of the gun to protect, making it more personal (and believible) and rogue having a b plot of guilt cause "it was mah fault yall! it shouda ben mae" ;). the hast aside, im so happy they are adapting these 80s greatest hits vs going with the 90s. though good-great, the 90s cant compare to the 80s aka the golden age of xmen. GET READY!

Also, this show's plots are taken directly from comic arcs (with minor changes) but it's very comic accurate which is why the plot's are so good. Storm losing her power seems like a plot device (rightfully so as they made an emphasis to show how strong she is) but it's actually one of if not her best arcs in the comics called Lifedeath where she does lose her powers.
