It's an odd name, but it's also a callback to when Chun-ae, Mo-mi's friend from the club, started a new school and kids made fun of her name too. That was because Chun-ae is a very old fashion name, from the 40's or 50's. Also, school in Korea isn't as extreme as these dramas make them out to be nowadays. It's an overused troupe, like zombies, memory loss from a car accident, etc.

"why are you hiding your face? why are you crying? talk to me", same with mimo's grandma, even more so cause she is from an older generation and higher social status. it would be better for kids like this if they were given therapy and at home some positive reinforcement that they are loved, smart and worthy, but how do you change thousands of years of a culture?

So I'm pretty sure while the mom cares she'd constantly bombarded with that trauma as well. She never dealt with her own issues

Having a caring and loving parent (who also shows their love and ACTS accordingly, not only says it) is soooooooo freaking important and would change so so much in their terrible situation. This show is simply pure fire. I am so excited to see what Mimos plot'll be and what part Momi'll play.

But I advise to not watch the first two episodes on Hulu and watch on dramacool or something because the subs are out of sync but the rest should be fine on there. You already been hearing that Moving is also really good too. Either show would be a treat to react to
