But I'd really like her to be in Beyond the Spider-Verse as well. Interesting thing about Cindy is that, in the comics, she was bitten by the same spider that bit Peter, but was kept in a windowless bunker for 10 years. So she could also be considered an "anomaly" by the Spider Society in these movies, which would really spice things up even more than they already have been.

But yeah, she was right in the beginning. She definitely hurt him.... you could see it on his face when he cut her web during the chase scene, and when he told her "Bye, Gwen" on the train to the Moon. Ngl, after that argument with his parents at his dad's promotion party, I would've been sooooo tempted to just swing away and expose myself. I'd want to get out there so quick, I'd be like, "Fuck it" and just swing away lol. But yeah, that's why I'm not a comic book superhero character.

An actually Spot is the one who started this cascade of events since he brought the Spider from Earth-42 in the first place. My guess is that he was always supposed to become Spider-man in his universe, even if it happened in the wrong way.

And how the other Spider people react to the events, it's not like what Miguel is saying is without merit. Miles[1610] wasn't supposed to be bitten by that Spider. His Peter died because of it an ultimately couldn't shut down the collider that created Spot who is putting Miles [1610] in the position he's in. That's the hook at the end of the day. A true Spiderman fan, wants Miles to fight but also understands that being Spiderman is literal fucking sacrifice. So I hope SV3 ends in a satisfying way and not just makes Miles when or give us a cop out.

2023-08-15 17:40:30 +0000 UTCbeyond was removed cause of the strikes going on. for it to come out next year they obviously had some if not most of the work done on it so depending on when the strike ends thats when they will go back in production. so at worst case scenario it will be pushed to 2025, at best it would be moved to the fall of 2024 as it was schedule for march originally. the article i read didnt mention any animation still needing to be rendered. instead its the voice acting that still needs to be recorded.

"no spiders have fangs he must be a vamp". enjoy those tarantulas. they so dont have fangs...........

Hopefully prowler miles joins spider miles and good triumphs evil and we all win and live in a world where nothing ever goes wrong. A million % yes to the animators getting paid more because that was absolutely beautiful still not over it. I don't really know much about writing and how different it is from comics but I hope they did their best and get paid well enough so they can keep making more of these beautiful filmss

There are so many Spider-Men that were in that building that would dogwalk miles but because of plot they had him escape. It doesn’t even have to be a real fight. They would absolutely capture him no problem it’s just this diversity thing with Miles he’s in everything simply because almost everybody love him so they try to do every single thing with him to milk the character so that they can get money. He's making a lot of assumptions and we don't actually know that disrupting canon events is what breaks universes. He just assumes that's what caused it - or at least that's what he tells us. Roshi asked if there's a happy medium where they save the multiverse AND Miles's dad, and that's what Spider-Man does: "Spider-Man always does both." When Miles says that, that's the writers telling us the heroic ideal/thesis of the story. That's the true core of who Spider-Man is, not some 'canon events'. Miles epitomises the true Spider-Man, not an anomaly - meanwhile the supposedly "right" Miguel is an anomaly himself - Peter comments that he's "the only Spider-Man who isn't funny" and Miles asks him if he's sure he's actually Spider-Man - that's a hint. When the Spider Society asserts that without Uncle Ben, they wouldn't be there, Miles asks if they would have let him die if they knew it would happen. That's Miguel's whole philosophy. But that's the OPPOSITE of the lesson Uncle Ben's death teaches them: they learn that if something bad is going to happen and they have the power to stop it, it's their responsibility to stop it. Miles is in the right, and we see the various Spider people come to realise that, even Jessica Drew. I'm sure we're going to learn that Miguel is either wrong about this being only way, and that he is either lying or incorrect about the cause of dimensional collapses. That's what Gwen realised when she learned that her dad isn't going to be captain. They have to do BOTH, and they have to do it together: we saw Miles try to bake 2 cakes in the movie, and mess it all up. But now he's meeting Prowler Miles so, symbolically speaking, he could make 2 cakes successfully. He can save his dad AND the multiverse, he can have his cake and eat it too.

The point is he doesn't want to risk it. Counting his own universe hoping event and what happens in Parvit's world it seems like he has gotten enough information to see 1. That canon events exist. 2.That every Spider person gets them from the moment they are bitten by the Spider. (Timing and exact details depending on each Spiderman) 3.If canon events don't happen, a giant hole appears to rip the universe apart. (Something that can't solely be related to The Spot as they already have gear and spiderpeople trained to fix the problem. Jessica Drew also speaks as though this is a known reality as well based on her own experience.) So yeah, I don't think Miguel is being shifty I think he really is misguided or maybe his is right but not really focused on alternatives since MIles[1610] canon is so soon and Miles intends to stop it.

I don't think they ever mention whether or not Miles[42] or another Peter was supposed to get bit, as Miles[1610] was only canon as Spiderman in Universe-1610 anyways. I think Jefferson[42] dying was just happenstance due to the overwhelming criminal presence in New York without any Spiderman being born.

It is happening naturally which is why Miles saw the vison from The Spot and Miguel was able to give him the exact time it was gonna happen. (When Jefferson gets sworn in.) Due to the circumstance, Miles is unaturally trying to prevent it. Which is what happened in Mumbathan (sorry if misspelled) and why canon events are supposed to happen. At least, that's what the movie is trying to convey.

A whole other Miguel in another dimension permanently, and he thought nothing would happen? Talk about the original anomaly. Miguel hates Miles cause he represents what he couldn't have, a family. Also he's smart, but he definitely doesn't know everything about that stuff, he couldn't even answer when Gwen questioned him more directly, not even citing his earlier story again, just getting angrier.. Miles 42 and 1610 are probably gonna have to have it out before they start working in any capacity together, stepping on each others' toes with their opposing values, but having different things in common and interest, like their longer memories of their respective lost loved ones, 1610 might try to help this world out too, and probably change 42 Miles for the better while getting a little grittier himself. Miles's story is still being written, and whatever he does will become the canon I think. N yeah that whole black hole in Paviter's dimension definitely looks more like the fallout from a collider blowing up than whatever Miguel did to that other dimension. I wonder if his daughter there was supposed to be a spider-woman, and because he took away that dimension's Spider due to her not experiencing an event that would've made her(an actual canon event), the dimension collapsed.

The first movie was great to me, but I honestly just watched it in 2019 bc of the hype. But this one I was genuinely excited for. I love how they transformed Spot from a goofy character to a menacing villain! And the 20 minutes they spent at HQ and the chase scene were definitely the highlight for me. That twist at the end was insane! I also love how they did cameos subtly and didn’t rely on them like how a lot of superhero movies today do. They were just something extra that gave extra laughs, like Donald Glover or Play Station Spidey! 🕷️ Release has been delayed for a lot of reasons: 1. People quitting bc of Lord & Miller ; poor working conditions 2. The original cut was 5 hrs + and they split it into two parts, but still have to animate a LOT 3. Writers and Actors Strike Originally it was rumored to release March 29, 2024 but now 2026 is when they think it’ll be released 😖 but I want them to take their time!

But because miles did get bitten peter died “saving” miles (which lead to him being distracted by the thought of another spider man existing therefore throwing him off his game loosing focus and or time that was crucial to stopping the collider)=(imo) the spider however was the anomaly, and the person it bit (in this case miles). if the spider never got transported to this universe everything would’ve turned out ok. but i 100% get what you’re saying

They are delaying all productions because they have no choice, because they have no one to work with that isn't a talent-less scab (industry term). They have quite literally said they are willing to wait people out and let them go homeless before they agree to their terms, or any terms. They're solely responsible for keeping the strike going. Miguel is doing what he believes is right for the universe- literally trying to help everyone but his method is so one track and extreme that it almost comes off as though he’s the villain. It is a great way to show that just because you disagree with someone, it doesn’t automatically make them evil or even wrong. Meanwhile Spot, who has been wronged - is full on evil because he’s out for revenge and doesn’t care who gets hurt but we don’t see much of him, leaving his black and white evil for the more complicated moral questions Miguel raises. Just top tier writing really.

Initialy the spider that bit 1610 Miles was supposed to bite 42 Miles. Since that couldn't happen the way it was intended, due to the spider being pulled to an alternate universe, the multiverse corrected the anomally / situation by having the 42 spider bite the Miles that was available. Unfortunately that left Universe 42 with no Spiderman as that Miles was now forced to become the Prowler.

I'm guessing because Miles snuck around hanging with Uncle Aaron doing their harmless graffiti, that eventually Aaron would bring Miles into the crime world fold because Miles and his dad were having issues then too with the dad not wanting Miles hanging around Aaron and then some big disaster of some kind will happen involving Mile's dad with no Spider-man to help since 1610's Peter died, that will have Aaron eventually pass on the Prowler name making 42 and 1610 near identical ... but then 42's spider got stolen before Mile's got to that point and threw 1610's parallel with 42 way off. You'd think because that caused 1610's Miles to become an anomaly that his dimension would fall apart from there but I guess Miles being Prowler or Spiderman are considered canon events recognized by the universal power that governs what's canon and what's not. The Spiderverse is just out to get every uncle ben ( sometimes aunt May ) and Captain's in close relationship to Spiderman out. Are there any other coincidental Spiderman events that would fit the "canon event" thing that's happened in all the comics? I'd assume another canon event would be that eventually Spiderman reveal his identity to the public.

You know when 1610 peter parker and miles met at the collider and both sensed each other, miles had a green and purple spider sense and it changed to blue and red. It is like he was destined to being the prowler, but all that changed because he was bitten by the spider.

One example: In Miguel’s backstory you see that universe glitch away similar to other characters glitching while with Pavitar’s universe the thing happening there is similar to the Spot’s darkness (which Miles points out). Even though Miguel said they were caused by the same thing but they have different effects. Also Miguel’s whole scenario doesn’t really fall in line with what he describes as canon events. Pivotal moments or deaths that are linked across the Spiderverse, but the one he broke was his own death? A Spider-Man’s death to a mugger was a canon event? It doesn’t really make sense. Miguel might have broken some other rule of multiversal travel to cause the universe destruction but I guess we have to wait and see. I think either way Miguel still has a point, would you risk the life of an entire universe on one life and Miguel being wrong? Is that risk worth every life for in a universe?

In one episode of the tv show Community in which Donald played the part of Troy, he wore a Spiderman costume as a PJ. This leads up to comic fans asking Marvel to create a black Spiderman because there was never a black Spiderman yet at that point. So Donald Glover is the reason why Miles Morales even existed in the Marvel universe. This was confirmed by the author of the first issue of Miles Morales where he stated that Donald Glover and the fans were the reason he created Miles Morales. Fans also wanted Donald Glover to voice Miles in Into The Spiderverse but that didn't happen probably because they wanted a younger-sounding person to voice him

In 1610 if Miles' dad became captain then more than likely he is fated to die and because he would be gone his mom would struggle by herself. I think Miles became Prowler just as a means to provide for his mom because Aaron was talking about doing a heist when they were walking to the rooftop. Aaron probably passed the mantle onto him because he saw that Miles wanted it.

So if Miles was never bitten, Prowler would still exists plus his dad wouldn't have died most likely which means Miles would've just been a normal ass kid. I think the only reason 42 Miles became prowler is because there's no superhero role model nor a superhero in general so when his dad died to whoever all he had was uncle aaron. Just my thoughts on it

2023-08-09 04:58:33 +0000 UTC^ To Add to that if you watch the first movie when Miles met the Peter of his universe they both had Spidey senses due to the fact that Miles just got bit by 42 spider and when you look at the colors Miles was “green and purple” which is the prowlers color because he was supposed to be the prowler and then Peters was red and blue and then it changed to red and blue for the both of them which changed and disrupted the canon event. If you guys rewatch this movie you’ll see a lot of things that were hidden in the movie to give you hints towards what was supposed to happen and what is going to happen. Overall thanks for the reaction and also Ps. When the spiders were chasing Miles the black and white spider man hanging from the ceiling was not an actual spider man he was Metro Boom the rapper who pretty much made the whole playlist for the movie 🙃

If our Miles (1610) didn’t get bit, he would’ve become the Prowler eventually. But even then, you have to consider other things too. Peter from Miles’s universe died but the universe didn’t collapse. Gwen’s dad quit being captain but her universe didn’t collapse. Miles is an anomaly and isn’t supposed to be Spider-Man and yet, at the same time, is due for a canon event in which a police captain close to Spider-Man dies? We’re SUPPOSED to question Miguel and his claim about canon events.

It would have been a canon event in Earth-42, but instead that Miles became the Prowler. And essentially, the Earth-1610? anomaly caused other Spiders to have changes in their own lives. Because of this Spider Miles' existence, it shifts away the narrative of Spider canon events playing a world disrupting factor on his universe. I just think Miguel was too jaded to even have a theoretical discussion. And Miles was perplexed with all the lore dumping to press him on it scientifically.

In the first movie when Miles meets Peter and their spider sense goes off, Miles' aura is green and purple aka Prowler colors but then his aura switches to red and blue aka Spiderman colors. Cause him and his Prowler version of himself completely switched lives. And if you go back and watch scenes from the first film and this one, there are subtle moments where purple is being shown on our Miles; like a purple lighting or quick color flash. And notice when he went into earth 42’s room, he wore the purple hoodie. So they were heavily hinting that those two switched fates. Remember Miles already had a Spider-Man but the fact that Peter died saving him, it changed a piece of the canon and made Miles Spider-Man instead which led up to all the events we saw in the first film like his uncle Aaron getting killed. Plus we don’t fully know if the other version of him is a villain or not.

He ended up in a place people thought he didn't belong, and he also ended up getting lost trying to come back home. The foreshadowing was crazy. And just to point this out if Miles never becomes spiderman, he would never lose Aaron, but Peter Parker would lose a police captain which in turn is Miles' dad. Miles' universe needed a spiderman so Peter dying alternated the canon while maintaining the universe to not fall apart.

Another thing to not is that Miguel is one of the few Spider-Man to take In a “bad” spider trait that being he’s hyper aggression explaining why he’s so bitter well that and the extinction event he caused lol

His uncle was already the prowler but I think he was probably gonna pass down his “torch” onto Miles. There were things in that movie that connected to this one but they were super subtle 👌🏾

It gives him fangs that produce a paralysing venom and talons on his fingers and toes (which is how he climbs and sticks to walls as opposed to how most Spider-Men stick to walls).

The original anomaly was the Spider from Earth-42 that Spot found when he was a scientist, which then escaped and bit Miles. His uncle Aaron was meant to be the Prowler in his universe, not Miles. So technically, The Spot is the reason that the Peter Parker on Earth-1610 died, making Miles the new spiderman. And he's also the reason that Earth-42 doesn't have a spiderman, which may be why the Miles Morales of Earth-42 became the Prowler instead of Spiderman.
