I don't see paladin's necklace providing any protection outside the game, because it protects against spells and removes curses placed on cards, so it won't do anything in the real world coz cards and spells is a Greed Island thing :p

One thing about HxH is its not really an all-fight anime. Id say it is more on strategies and mind games. It’s a different type of shonen anime, but the next arc (I believe) is really what put HxH on top of the shonen list.
