2024-12-23 07:19:54 +0000 UTCSo a theory I have for why Millim's clothes are the way they are, (and I know this is hella late: you guys are already finished season 3 lol) I think her clothes are supposed to be children's clothes. I think it's meant to reflect her childish nature. Even though she's far older, she never actually grew up. So her clothes are meant to be children's clothes that clearly don't fit her. It's more than just a thong that doesn't fit her, it's literally hanging off her ass cuz it's too small for her. Her top might even be an actual shirt that she's outgrown. Can't really speak for the arm gear though... But the pigtails might support my theory as well as her hair halo, indicating her childlike innocence

2024-10-21 04:29:08 +0000 UTCi honestly dont like saying it but for characters like milim (except the "Fools haircut" they gave her of "Ahoge" (that tuff of hair that looks like a questionmark is called Ahoge and is gived to comedic or clownish or carefree characters) ) is also the dihotomy of well.. Immortality.. She doesnt have to or need to "Grow up and woman up" since she is practically..well.. immortal. She wont ever age so she doesnt really care about the world around her changing or what they say. I think thats the most uhh "mindset" most japanese artists use about sexualising or dressing characters like that. Still is quite weird and creepy considering her basic humanoid form is that of a child.

I think the vocals just have that over-pronounced, over-vibrato affectation that is commonly in japanese pop ever since visual kei's influence began, and just kinda overshadows the lovely instrumental arrangement and production. The best part of the song is the last 10 seconds with the drum n bass beat and the awesome swirling string section. Like, damn, I want a whole song of THAT. In the full version of the song it's the last 25 seconds.

It’s one of those anime that you consider recommending to anime-casuals, and then you remember Milim and say, “Nope, can’t show this one.” And to the many, many people who say it’s all good because she’s actually not a kid: “C’mon. Be real. No matter what her age, she is absolutely presented as a child, both physically and mentally. That shit adds nothing positive and needs to stop in anime.”

If you like characters with big boobs, there's Shion. If you like shy type characters, there's Shuna. Overpowered MC? Rimuru. Old but skilled? Hakurou. Hot and manly? Benimaru. Goofy character? Gobta. And many more that they haven't seen yet. Milim's clothing is not a mistake. You don't like it, it's not for you. Simple.

I don't know which audience that is supposed to enjoy that type of character? And rumors of child-like character that is dressed that way could be a big flag and a turn-down for someone that have thought of watching Slime.

The other stuff happens and is mentioned in this episode The other part about the Lizardmen again is shown in the episode but not explicitly mentioned in the anime. I wouldn't consider this a spoiler :( just wanted to clarify a little on what's skipped a little in the ln or manga. It's still shown to us but it can be a little hard to catch all these changes or skills, it can be confusing later on where you're expected to know where all these new abilities and else come from

Im not saying to watch it right after this, but eventually..you two should watch it! It was one of my first anime’s, and I go back to rewatch it every year. This anime holds a special place in my heart. The characters are great, stories great..it’s just an overall great anime. Also, first time ever watching this anime, and am really loving it. I watched ahead a few episodes lol I couldn’t help myself. I’m excited to see your reactions to the upcoming episodes.
