10 Year Anniversary of TOY!
Added 2021-03-31 10:34:31 +0000 UTCI wanted to post this tonight before we queue it up for afternoon tomorrow— March 27th was the 10 year anniversary of us posting the first page of Chapter 1! \o/
I think Suzana and I are still ongoingly processing how it feels to be here, 10 years into making this comic— especially as we're at the beginning of our last chapter of this story. I have to tell you, and I hope it shows: we are having so much fun making Chapter 20. We're literally giddy for the chance to finally illustrate scenes we've been building to for years. And not only that, but we're so excited for what's coming down the pipeline that we're launching this year.
We're really, really jazzed to share this stuff with you guys, and we're extremely grateful that you're here with us. So at the 10 year mark on TOY, thank you so sincerely for reading it. We're looking forward to continuing to make more stuff that we hope you'll like. ♥
PS, just a side note— Suzana picked this panel to redraw because not only did it seem pretty fun, it's one of the few panels that Suzana and I both drew a version of. I drew it into my minicomics at the end of Chapter 1, and Suzana referenced it again here when we added the prologue a few years later!

For what it’s worth, we have a sequel to TOY planned that we are on-the-edge-of-our-seat excited about making 💕 Once we’re through Ch20 though of course, we have about a year of “I’ve been waiting a decade to tell this part of the story and I’m so fulfilled by finally being able to do so” to go through first!

2021-03-31 18:18:29 +0000 UTCCongratulations! The only part of this post I didn't love is the bit about this being the last chapter -- I'm in love with Liam and Milo and want this to go on forever. They're such well thought out and presented characters; I feel as if I know them better than some of the real people I hang out with (not counting this past year of not hanging out with anyone). They have flaws, but they keep working on themselves, trying to improve without expecting themselves ever to be perfect.
