Desktop Pet

I've been thinking about creating a vorish desktop pet.
The idea is that you could have the "pet" on your desktop while doing something entirely different. Whenever you'd like, you could interact with the "pet" and pet it or tease it. Now and then a food item could appear somewhere on your desktop and you could drag it to the pet. The pet would play an animation and eat the food item. Of course these food items could also be tinies hiding in the screen corners or even same sized girls peaking from the sides of the screen. And you could just click on them and drag them to your pet to feed it. The pet's belly would become bigger with every meal and slowly digest it's meals, leading to their belly shrinking back to normal over a span of several minutes. There could even be weight gain and a ton of other things.
Here's the three options for the vorish pred "pet". I prefer the one in the middle heh.
What do you think? Would the vorish desktop pet be a good idea?
