I thought you had to get up to 7 stages of a disease for it to be terminal but it turns out you don't. Actually, talking about stages makes me rather sad because she was big into video games, and sometimes I'd watch her speedrun chrono trigger late at night when I was a lot more tired than her. It's weird that video games have stages and diseases have stages, huh? who decided that. Now that I think about it that's more than a little bit weird. Chrono Trigger never came out over here in europe. Actually there was a lot of things that were a little bit weird about my wife, like she had this hat with teeth on it that she swore were her baby teeth but they always looked a little too big for that and I never wanted to bring it up when she was alive because I was scared that she would think it weird that I know that much about teeth. Can you play that song from Seal about the roses on the grave? We used hibiscus at the funeral but nobody has sung a song about that yet. Really what I'm doing here is just listing stuff I like and hoping something sticks, but: >Louie Zong is super talented if you've never heard his work before. I haven't listened to his entire discography just yet, but "Rat Taxi" would fit the main aesthetic well, "Aquarium City" and "Breezy Slide" are great if you want more of a city pop vibe, "Jazz" and "Sandwich" are both great for a jazzier vibe, and "Wizard Disco" has more of an electronic sound. >Ginger Root also has a lot of city pop vibes, check out "Shinbangumi". >Cory Wong is super underrated. Check out "Starship Syncopation" and "J.A.M. (Just A Minute)". >"Rafflesia Online" and "Rafflesia Channel" by Xploshi both capture 2000s/2010s vibe extremely well, absolutely worth a listen. >Some synthwave would be cool, Gunship (check out their "Dark All Day" album) and Carpenter Brut ("Trilogy" or "Leather Terror") are both super good. Other artists worth mentioning are Pertubator, Timecop1983, and Power Glove. >Animusic is one of my niche favorites, 3D animations synced to music. The music is still fun without the animations though. Would recommend "Harmonic Voltage" and "Stick Figures" from Animusic 1, and "Heavy Light" from Animusic 2. >Miracle Musical- Hawaii Part 2. This was made by the same people as Tally Hall, and is just something else. If you're looking for a super out-there track that's weird but still good, would recommend "The Mind Electric". The entire song plays in reverse before playing forwards. >Vansire is super chill. Check out "Metamodernity" and "Halcyon Age". >Super out-there suggestion, "Mother Earth's Plantasia" by Mort Garson. Very early electronic music from 1976, composed entirely with a Moog synthesizer. >Is disco valid? Would recommend Jamiroquai, mainly from his "Travelling Without Moving" album. "Cosmic Girl" is my favorite from that one. >Groovejet (Harvey Sutherland Remix) by Spiller and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. A very fun dance track that fits alongside Lady (Hear Me Tonight). Oh, and "Music Sounds Better With You" if that's not already in the rotation. >Anything from Crydamoure, it's a label Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (of Daft Punk) made and has a lot of great house music. Check out "Waves 1". On the opposite coin, Thomas Bangalter (the other robot) has the Roule label which is also great. >Ridge Racer PSP, "Night Stream". I've been playing that a lot lately and feel it would fit the vibe. >If you want more meme songs, "You Reposted In The Wrong Neighborhood" is a must. >Vaporwave? Saint Pepsi, Floral Shoppe, Blank Banshee, and Windows96. >Eurobeat. "A Perfect Hero" HAS to be in there somewhere!
