Hey there, Knights and Knaves, Spindles and company here with an update on Spriggan Princess!
If you go out into the deep, dark woods, and find yourselves in the company of strange folk, bats the size of horses, and tomatoes the size of cows, you’ve wound up in the Craving Laurels, home to the Spriggan folk! Don’t let the hanging trees, black clad knights, and restless animal spirits fool you; the spriggans are good folk who just want to live their lives in peace and overcome the bloody history that’s woefully reduced their population.
To help with their dwindling numbers, the old queen of the spriggans declared the “Iron Dictum” a decree that permitted the stealing of non-fae children, but only from abusive households or orphanages. Children adopted this way are considered full-blooded spriggan folk, and given all the same rights and privileges included. Many adoptees, inspired by this, become knights themselves, defending their homelands with courage and ferocity.
Those of the Craving Laurel use powerful words and phrases to forge the amber of their forest into arms, and armor, and grow tiny seeds into massive harvests with the power of their royal bloodline. Despite all this their princess has been claimed by the perfidious Rabbit Folk and imprisoned in an iron cage deep in the heart of the Cotton Vineyard Kingdom. Can a brave knight push past the strange and cursed garden that her captors have created to free her?
