So key arts games do usually have branching routes (and they're fun, not just static vns where you make few decisions). And multiple girls. But I know for a few, Clannad is a big one, they will have an extension to the main girl after you complete all the routes. So the way it's been adapted before is that the other routes were adapted as either non romantic (help the girl with her problem, achieve her dream etc) or Clannad gave two of the routes non canon ova episodes that explored their romance. One of clannad's other routes even got it's own game! I haven't played summer pockets, so I'm just going by other key arts anime. If course, you also have anime original key arts series like Angel beats that work differently. I actually played the clannad vn after the anime and was surprised how much enjoyment I got from it. I was used to very static vns with like three choices that determined your route.
