I agree with Quinn. Shelby should be fired, she is a teacher and is sleeping with a student. It doesn`t matter that he is 18, she is in a position of power over him. Rachel only cares because if word got out that her biological mother is a sex offender that would damage her chances of making it.

2021-01-05 05:46:28 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed all the performances in this episode. Maybe Trebletones would have won if they had more songs, but I'm not gonna try and compare the performances. I had a lot of fun listening to all of them, and I like the fact that the group is back together but Mercedes and Santana will still be featured. Best of both worlds. Also I love that Sam's back, and that Blaine stood up for himself, and Mike's storyline... This is one of the episodes I used to watch on repeat. Honestly it's just a fun one, and a feel-good episode. So I'm not gonna analyze it or the songs, it really is just enjoyable

Still, I did find a poetic beauty in Naya’s body being found on Cory’s anniversary. And I get chills now watching the two of them hug and sing about carrying someone home. There’s just some coincidences in life that are poignant.

I feel like if the Troubletones did that Adele mashup, the New Directions wouldn’t stand a chance even though they did a whole Jackson family medley. Despite how the competition results went, I’m really glad they’re allowing the Troubletones to do a number for each competition.

2020-09-30 22:49:21 +0000 UTCYes! But here we get to one of the most agreed upon opinions in the fandom: the Troubletones were robbed. Regardless of anyone's opinion on Rachel, with her gone the New Directions lost their top three singers. Sure they had Blaine, and getting Sam back helped, but they were at a BIG disadvantage here. And of course we got the typical 'NDs get 3 songs, everyone else gets 1' deal again. I get that there's time constraints, and why they may do that with other teams, but you'd think that the Troubletones, a group with three main characters on it, would be given a better shot. Not to mention, the New Directions just had bad song choices here. I get the Jackson theme they were going for, but it was a bad selection. I'll admit that ABC was pretty good. But they did not do Man in the Mirror justice. And I say that as someone who likes that song, and usually prefers the Glee covers to the originals. And the last one was just a bad choice overall in my opinion. And I know it wasn't entirely like this, but I hate how the New Directions were so offended when the Troubletones said they could join them if they lost, but then had no problem turning around and asking them to come back when they came in second. That's why I'm so glad that Quinn was the one who invited them back. At least she has (or had, because the writers don't give a crap about the friendships in this show) close relationships with Santana, Brittany, and Mercedes. Like, if they had made Finn be the one to have the girls rejoin the group I think I would have put my fist through the TV. Glad that Sam is finally back, though!! Definitely my favorite male character. Excited to see more of him and Mercedes! I do feel bad though- he's like 17 max, and working as a stripper. And as (rightfully) angry as he was at Finn, Blaine was out of line when he came for Sam like that. Red Solo Cup was an odd song, but it was still pretty cute 😅 I've always liked Sam's voice. Also the way that they tried to make Quinn into the bad guy for wanting to reveal the Puck/Shelby relationship was totally nuts. Like sure, she had her own motives for doing so but the way the characters/narrative tried to play it off as "Quinn is so selfish, Shelby is gonna lose her job!!!" like maybe don't sleep with your fucking students then?? Hate her. Also shoutout to Sugar for nailing those 'whats' during the Troubletones performance 😭👑
