I normally don't care for flash forwards but Breaking Bad is an exception. I still considered the possibility of Walt actually being arrested because I thought briefly that it's possible he gets out with the help of Todd's gang, but yeah it is pretty obvious things aren't going to work out in that moment.

Funnily enough, Better Call Saul uses this same trick to fill you with dread and tension, asking yourself 'why aren't these characters I love from BCS in Breaking Bad?' - One of the few writers that are able to make future knowledge work to the addition of tension instead of dissipating it. The creators of these shows are amazing.
