The wasteland golden rule: "Thou shalt get side tracked by bullshit every damn time" is a callback to when people play the fallout games and end up doing the side quests instead of the main story xD Also the reason you guys hear 1950s music in this show is for actual good reason. Its not just added for the sake of odd taste. The apocalypse happened in this universe during the year 2077 BUT in this universe technology was no better than 1950s tech and music, Its a "retro future" so with that, no new music was ever created and all that we have is this music.
