1) Publication Date News: To be clear, DG's "soon" above refers to when I'll be wrapping up Part 2.5. However, publication will have to wait a bit. I currently have a tentative publication date with Hosted Games of Thursday, March 3, 2022. Yes, it's a bit far off, but there are are many games in the queue ahead of me. On the positive side, it gives me time to get deep into Part 3 by the time "Fun and Games" is released. Also, it allows me a Steam release, which is a valuable release feature not available to all games.
There's a lot of time between now and then, so I'll let you folks know if anything changes.
2) New Yearly Membership Option: As of today, I'm offering yearly memberships for this Patreon page. If you're interested, just go to "manage memberships" from the user menu, click "edit" for this page, and select the annual price button. Note: you will be immediately charged for the entire year but you'll get a 16% discount. Yes, it's a weird percentage but it's essentially 12 months for the price of 10, so I think that's why Patreon uses it as our discount cap.
Now, for August's schedule.
August 3 - Update/Schedule (All)
August 8 - Poll for Existing RPG Sheets (Pow/Hmmm) (Soon, I'll start to work the newer ones into the rotation)
August 8 - Opinion Poll re: a potential Zip! sequel (All)
August 15 - WIP Update (Pow/Hmmm)
August 22 - Delivery of last month's RPG sheet winner, Friendzone & this month's RPG sheet winner. (Pow/Hmmm)
August 22 - Things That Make You Go Hmmm Monthly Article (Hmmm)
This will be a hectic month for me, but I am looking forward to sitting down and writing with friends for a day in late August. My writers' group is holding a 'mini' writing retreat for a full day August 28th; my goal for that day is 2,500 clean words, with a stretch goal of 3,000. Is anyone else in a writing group? How is it going? What benefits do you see from participating?
My monthly word count goal is 20,000 words, with a stretch goal of 25,000. I'll report back next month with details about how my actual work measured up to that goal.
Enjoy your August and have a Specktacular Tuesday!
*The above fan art was created, I believe, by Wire, who also did the official game art for CCH Part 1.
