Monthly Update

It felt great to shake off the cobwebs and get some writing done in January! My plans for 2021 remain to finish/submit CCH 2.5 Fun & Games and CCH 3: All Things End even though I didn’t get hardly any work done on those last fall.

I also have a ton of Talon City content in various stages of completion going back for the last couple of years and wove some of that together, so there’s a chance I’ll be including this story in my WiP updates in the future.

I’m trying to create some more writing time for myself by waking earlier and working in the basement with Oskar while the rest of the family slumbers. I really forgot how time-consuming puppies are, as Oskar tends to either want to play fetch with his stuffed burrito (pictured here) in the limited confines of our basement or else plop right on my lap as I try to type. But apparently that’s the price I pay for being his favorite human (my wife’s assessment).

Right now I’m also working from home a few days a week, so that saves me on commuting time. And honestly, we’re running around nearly as much as we normally would with a middle-schooler and a high-schooler. I fully expect life to get busier again come August, but that will be healthy for my kiddos so I welcome it.
