Halloween Maps!

Greetings, travelers!

First off, we're terribly sorry for the long radio silence... And Happy Halloween!

We've been bustling away at the port town, since we wanted to map out the whole area before we start detailed work on it. We ended up making several drafts of the entire town, but we're finally happy with where the various sectors are and that'll be our next post. In the mean time, we have a set of Halloween maps for everyone!

First up is the cemetery/crypt area, where the graves ar fit to be pillaged, if you're not afraid of a spirit or two. There hasn't been a gravekeeper for years, yet the lamps light like clockwork...

To make up for the lack of day/night variations, we included variant versions of the crypt in deadwoods, as well as paths with wisps for everyone.

For patrons who've ordered our ruby red concoctions, there's extra maps in the form of an abandoned church...

And a two-part crypt map large enough to make you suspect you've stumbled upon another realm entirely. The paths shift beneath your feet to form bridges where it wills, and it's all you can do to stay upright. There's no telling what happens when the mysterious flames are extinguished either.

All in all, Happy Halloween everyone - and have fun with these dark maps!

---

Why no pumpkins?  We didn't want the maps to be utterly unusable after the season so here's... random blobs of light instead!

Why no variations? This is the only set we're planning to do this for thus far. There's only about one in this set that really makes sense in daylight (the Church, and maybe if you stretch it, the Cemetery) so we decided to supplement with quantity instead. It's likely that we'll do the same for Christmas, where turning snowbound locations into Spring would mean repainting it entirely from scratch.

Hey! Sorry about that, can you let me know which version you're looking at? If you mean the PDF, I think these were one of the first ones where we hid the grids under layers. To access it, you can go to View > Show/hide > Navigation Panels > Layers. If you open A2.indd, there's all the grids nestled under it. Lemme know if that's not the case and I'll double check it again! Sorry about the trouble!

Your maps are inspiring and gorgeous! I'm working on getting all of them printed out. I hope I'm not asking about something that has already been addressed, but is there a reason the church doesn't have a grid? It's the only one that doesn't. Thank you for all of your amazing work!

Real awesome guys, this is fantastic work! I'm crying on the inside though because last sunday I did a campaign, in a haunted forest, with the final fight in a cemetery D: ... Oh well! Next time I'll have some beautiful maps :)
