Ace Of The Diamond Season 2 Episode 15 Reaction

Comments

Been following the reactions on youtube since episode 1 but after last episodes cliff hanger I finally caved LOL couldnt wait any longer so joined the patreon. Miyuki the goat

but it all comes down to what Miyuki said being wrong is subjective. Like Lax said thats who he is. Hes not going to hold anyones hand. If they want to quit then they have to make that decision on their own. Zono is a different person and I dont think either opinion on how to handle that situation is wrong, its just different. Zono should have HELPED Miyuki like Coach Kataoka asked him to instead of having an argument in front of the whole team and disrespecting him as a Captain because their opinions differ. THAT was petty. The dude already has a lot on his shoulders keeping this team afloat and dealing with this crippling pressure he doesnt have time to talk people out of quitting the team. Like imagine youre Captain, main catcher of 1st year pitchers, AND the 4th batter, trying to keep your team together and bring your Coach to nationals so he doesnt quit and soemone coming to you talking about they want to quit... like okay that's on you go figure that out you have to want it. Miyuki aint gonna sit here and try to talk someone into staying on the team if they dont want to. He has enough on his plate as it is. A Vice Captain (like Kuramochi did) should realise that and HELP.

I always liked what Zono said, how his reason for getting mad at Miyuki is actually because of how good he is. Some may perceive that as jealousy but I actually think it’s more like respect. Miyuki is so good at so many areas, I think Zono internally assumed Miyuki would really be a good captain immediately. So when Miyuki made a mistake that theoretically could make his fellow player feel worse, Zono got extra angry because he didn’t expect it. It made me feel he was being less petty or over dramatic because more than anything he has high expectations for Miyuki. Still though that level of aggression isn’t fair to Miyuki either, who independent of being really talented is still allowed to make mistakes. I always liked how the moment the get on the pitch though, they’re all on the same page. Each of them is mature enough to table the argument and play as a team, and we don’t have to way till have way through the game to do it.
