I bet Josh and tally won’t wanna watch a tournament of death show lol I might one day just to see wat it’s like I like street fights that end feuds like Orton vs foley but ones over the top like czw not a big fan of it i admit to see live it be different the atmosphere be amazing

Ryan Evans

I’ve met and worked backstage at countless shows directly with Nick Gage, one of the nicest human beings I’ve met in the wrestling business. Everybody has their demons, but beneath all the shit he is a hell of a guy

Harjiv Singh

I hope that David Arquette is here, if he is lemme tell you you're cool man

Diruroru

I’m pretty sure Dominos saw that happen too and ever since then, there was never been another Dominoes commercial on AEW😂

I've been watching wrestling since the late 90's and it's still difficult for me to watch deathmatch wrestling, I do dip my toe into that side of wrestling. I have seen enough deathmatchs to make any mainstream company's hardcore/extreme rules matches not seem that bad and higher produced to be much safer (thankfully) Also want to add the Sondra (Nick Gage's partner) recently pasted away so he's gone thru even more difficult times

SwantonAtomBomb

As a big deathmatch fan, I’m glad that Gage was able to get at least one match on national TV after all the terrible stuff he’s been through, hopefully we get that Gage vs Jericho recommended on Patreon too

Nick did the pizza cutter spot against Jericho in AEW then it immediately went to picture in picture ads and there was a dominos pizza ad right after, it was perfect

Always love the DSOTR reactions. Hopefully some of the ones from the season that is airing now get suggested soon they've been pretty good

Drew Or Die

Ooooo, my favorite Bank Addicted Drug Robber AKA Nick Fucking Gage. The guy is interesting to say the least. Among the wrestlers who committed crimes, he’s definitely on the lighter end and didn’t want to hurt innocent people. Probably because he does enough of that in the ring lol. But craziness aside, the dude has suffered tremendously in losing his entire family. I definitely believe that along with his gf, his diehard fans are the family he’s found that makes moving forward worth it to him. Whatever you think of his type of wrestling, it’s great that he has those who wanna see him get better and climb higher. And the guy obviously has enough passion for what he does that he’s willing to die to give his fans the most batshit wrestling memory they’ll ever have.

There's a lot of deathmatch stuff that I enjoy, but very little of it comes from CZW/GCW. Most of that stuff feels like violence for the sake of violence. I get that there is technically a story to it, which guy can take the most pain, who's got the drive to want the win more etc, but most of the time it just feels like both guys are in agreement that the more blood the better, and it feels less like a competitive fight and more like a horror movie.

I am not watching deathmatches often, but from time to time. When Nick Gage had the match where he was picked up by the helicopter in 2009, I was following the show by reading an online chat. I think there was no way of streaming the show at that point in time, but I wanted to know how my german countryman Thumbtack Jack was doing in the US. It was wild following the events. Watched Nick Gage in 2023, when he went to germany and his entrance and the crowd reaction/interaction was one of the most memorable things I experienced live. Sadly Nick Gages wife, who is featured in this documentary has passed away just little over a month ago.

Markus Ruoff

or as jim cornette calls him the bank addicted drug robber

My tastes / tolerances of wrestling can be well weird. Sometimes deathmatch wrestling, while of course brutal, as long as they are professionals and I know they’re okay in the end, I can actually watch and be entertained by. But headtrauma is what actually gives me the Ick in wrestling. Like Swerve getting the needle through his cheek made me far less uncomfortable than the Shibata headbutt or Nigel’s head to the ringpost. Though I think the key thing, like anything, just because you or I are able to watch something of whatever content, doesn’t mean someone else is wrong, soft or deserves to have their feeling be made invalid. Same with supporting certain figures in wrestling. Like, if you can watch a Chris Benoit match and are able to enjoy them without the constant cloud and thinking about what he did, then fine, you are able to but no one should feel like they have to “acknowledge the work” for a man who killed his wife and kid, whatever the reason. Or like me, personally, I really can’t stomach watching stuff with Vince McMahon, or at least purely watch them without constant thinking “ew” all the time, if others are able to gut through and watch segments with Vince without being too badly impacted, that’s fair and I won’t call you a piece of shit or anything , but I personally cant.”

lfg been waiting for this one!

Charlie

The funny part is that this documentary got Gage an appearance in AEW in a death match against Chris Jericho(the man that was narrating this)
