Just got around to watching this and this was a coincidence that the 2 Unforgiven 2006 matches was put back to back i did not realise until a few days later myself. Both of your reactions to the ass spot made it better as you can see in real time when you both knew what was about to happen and was the main reason i submitted this match just for that reaction. also sorry Tally for making you feel uncomfortable my bad. also you ended up loving the match was not what i was expecting but a nice surprise with how much blood and the ass spot

The sledgehammer head coming off has never been done since. Also there was several years where people never left the cell. It wasn’t until,Shane returned in 2016 that the wrestlers would leave the cell. DX had feuded with the McMahons for months stemming from the feud HBK had with Vince where he told him to grow up. Way back at least Josh watched HBK and God vs the McMahons and this match took place a couple of months after that one. During Battle of the Billionaires there was a “Vince loves rooster” sign which came from this feud

2025-04-24 22:30:41 +0000 UTCUnforgiven 06 was the first and so far only PPV to have both a Hell in a Cell Match and a Ladder/TLC Match on the same card. They must have opened one of the panels in the middle of the roof to feed the title strap thing through to hang the title from. Big Show was gigantic at the time. The heaviest he ever was. He’d be gassed within the first five minutes and the company ran him ragged. He went on a streak of title defences against Batista, Flair, Undertaker and Kane in the few months before this and he looked like he was going to kheal over. Face going into anus is pretty horrible but it was Vince so couldn’t have happened to a nicer person. I just feel sorry for Show because said face was covered in blood.

Also is it bad that at the time I was watching I wasn't able to afford the pay per views so when I seen this recapped on raw I knew I had to get this show on dvd just for this match

Triple H was a heel earlier in the year and Shawn Michaels was doing his own thing as a singles wrestler. Funny thing is, is that Triple H and Big Show had a feud earlier in the year too, but Big Show was a face and Triple H was the heel. During this iteration of DX (2006–2007, 2009–2010), it was just Triple H and Shawn Michaels. All the other members weren't in the company at this time. I believe DX started out with Triple H and Shawn Michaels anyway.
