The next part of the Traveller's Guide to Dragonspring is all about the different minerals and metals explorers might find during their exploration of the Realms Below. We've decided to add this additional category for this particular book because a large part of it plays out underground, some of it even in the vast mines of the Underberg.
Here is a short description of each find:
Roseate is a pink salt crystal harvested from the wells.
Sceryl is the sharp crystal material that covers the Crystal Chasm and gives it its name.
Solot is a stone that naturally glows with the light of a star
Ziklithite is a peculiar crystal that is able to repel dangerous monsters in the dark.
Glister is a pearl-like material that grows inside the shells of aquatic dragons
Chakridot is a stone that reveals the emotions of those close to it
A Dream Gem is a perfect sphere that contains a dream
Tovanite is a type of Sapphire, prized for its resemblance to queen Tovanaris' eyes.
Infernite is a stone infused with infernal energy
Dracoline is (part of) the petrified remains of an ancient dragon
Brutalite is a special metal that hardens (and "enspikens") under pressure
Malar is a toxic metal
Explorers will be able to find each of these materials on their adventures, and use them to forge potent magic items... but that's a preview for another time!
