So, this ones been cooking for a while, and it’s “The impact of Akira the FIlm that Changed Everything.”
Originally I wanted to do a why you should watch/read of Akira, but felt the more interesting Story was on the effect it had on the industry as well, so during the script it ended up going in a slightly different direction (the general idea is pretty much the same though).
This was a very tough video to write, but the ones about my favorites usually are (dont know if I’ll ever recover from that Yu Yu Hakusho video), and if I’m to be honest I’m not sure what to make of it at this point, this one went through so many re edits and re writes that I can barely see it anymore.
That said it was a lot of fun as well, I upgraded my editing software (Which I could afford to do thanks to you <3) and it ended up opening up some really interesting avenues, especially in the ways I could manipulate the footage and distort still images, and so I tried really hard to push the visuals for this one and for the manga section particularly, because I always feel like it’s hard to make manga look interesting in video, but I think I might have cracked a way to do it.
Anyway, I’m gonna go lie down for a couple of days, very excited about the next video, it’s going to be on one of my favorite game series.

As someone who had never gotten into it before aside from one or two series (DBZ when I was a kid, Berserk more recently), I'm now subscribed to Funimation/Crunchyroll and halfway through reading the entire Berserk manga. So thanks for introducing me to an entirely new medium of fiction! Glad to be a patron of yours. Keep up the good work!

Idk, I've been seeing more stuff out there about Akira in the past couple days. Some news about it or something? Anniversary? 5 bucks says the next video will about the FF series (that's really just me hoping).
