Why The Shining is Terrifying

This time we're talking about one of my favorite films ever, The Shining!
This is actually the first time I've dedicated a full video to a live action movie, I've wanted to try it out for a while because it seemed like an interesting new challenge, and with October coming up I thought the time seemed right.
I had to learn a lot about the elements that go into live action film specifically, like camera lenses and acting which was really interesting. There's an insane amount of info out there about the shining, if your curious Id take a look at the imdb trivia page for it, it is BIZARRE.
Here's some random things I didn't get to put in the video:
Jack Nicholsan was fed a diet of cheese sandwiches (which he hates) to keep him irritated and angry for the shoots.
Steven King had to sign a contract with the Stanley Kubric estate to get the shooting rights back for the mini series, agreeing he'd stop shit talking the Kubric version (unusually he there was a clause where he was still allowed talk about he he didn't like Jack Nicholsan as Jack)
Simpsons Tree house of Horror 5 (featuring the shining parody) is my favorite episode of the Simpsons.
