What Makes a Hero Feel Real?

For a while now I've really wanted to do a follow up to my video "What Makes a villain feel real?" but it was pretty difficult to know how to go about it, whether to concentrate on "protagonist" or "hero", but in the end I felt like doing a video on just a protagonist would be too broad and non specific because id essentially be talking about all media ever.
But this still presented too major problems:
1-Heroes are still and INCREDIBLY broad topic
2- I actually don't like heroes that much
So as it turns out, writing about heroes is really difficult too! I think a lot of writing about heroes stops at "they should be flawed but relatable and have goals", so I really wanted to not take a conventional approach and dig into what those concepts actually mean, so I had to do a lot of thinking about why I so rarely see heroes I find engaging, and what was special about the ones I did connect with, which took a lot of figuring out. I think the script took about 9 full drafts before it started feeling right, which is way more than the average, but in the end I'm pretty happy with how it came out, I think its a fun video.
Apologies about the lack of shout outs in the ending segment, this one was right down to the wire and I didn't get a chance to do them, but Ill do double in the next video to make up for it.
