Why Redline is an Amazing Movie

A new video just went live on the channel!

So this time we're covering a favorite movie of mine: REDLINE

This was  a really fun video to edit, mainly down how beautiful Redline is,  but I have to admit, I really feel like I need more practice covering movies as opposed to series, if there's a problem with this video I feel like I'm using the same kind of language to discuss cinema as I do for everything else, which means I'm taking 14 minutes to talk about a 110 minute movie, which feels a little excessive to me, but ultimately I edited it down as much as I could and I stand by the decisions I made.

Hope you guys enjoy!

I remember the first time I saw Redline, I was on a trip to the town Annecy with my animation class from collage, where the Annecy animation film festival was happening, and I saw Redline early one morning (INCREDIBLY hungover) with no idea what it was, or what to expect, and it completely blew me away. As much as I don't mind spoilers, I've been thinking more and more lately that there is something to viewing something fresh, and having zero concept of what it is, and the memory of seeing Redline for the first time reinforces that, but I also think its incredibly difficult to be able to approach media in that state, the only solution being to wall yourself off from everything you aren't immediately about to view... So I guess there's trade offs either way.

Currently watching: Dragon Ball Super, Kakeguri, Made in Abyss

Currently Playing: Lisa the Painful, Nier Automata, Persona 5

Thank you for your support, you are the reason this channel is what it is.

Woah shit. Guess now's as good a time as any to thank you for introducing me to Samurai Jack and Yu Yu Hakusho. Something tells me I would have loved growing up with Cartoon Network in the early 2000's, but I'll just have to settle with making it my current aesthetic.

What a gem! So glad Redline was the movie to figure out how to perfectly end as a racing movie, by having "LOVE" in bold, cursive letters over a physics-defying make out. Currently holding out hope that the Fast & Furious franchise is building its way towards their version of that ending.

Whooohoooo a new video!!
