[DIRECTOR COMMENTARY ALBUM DOWNLOAD]

Hello Patrons!

(I'd originally planned to message you all individually but Patreon is having trouble surfacing patrons by date so I'm just going to post this here.)

As promised - to all of you who are $10 Patrons and above, here is the download for our first Directors Commentary album in which myself and Jeremy talk over a bunch of our favorite documentaries and regale you with inside scoops, production stories and our thoughts on the final docs. The Google Drive link below has access to the MP3s, and a separate folder with artwork for those who want them separately.

DOWNLOAD HERE: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JVsbrHa8mYkstebGuOMQpS59xY9g0Hv-?usp=sharing

Two notes: (1) The MP3s have custom artwork in their metadata already; we just added the graphics folder in case people wanted them. (2) We had originally planned to have WAVs (2.2gb) but Google Drive download limits might occur.

We are sending this message to over a thousand people so if the link above starts complaining about bandwidth please come back in a few hours. We’re going to leave this link up for at least a week so you should all be able to access it no problem. If you have any issues just send me a message.

HOW TO USE: The files are the exact same length as their YouTube video equivalents. So to play, just sync your playback by manually hitting play on both around the same time. We realized there are a dozen use-cases for how people will use these and this seemed like the way most other channels do it.

ALSO YOU CAN BUY IT! This album is now also for sale on our new Bandcamp so if you want to add that to your Bandcamp library or just support us over there, feel free to visit https://noclip.bandcamp.com/

Thanks so much, we put a lot of effort into recording them so I hope you enjoy them!

- Danny

I love the freaking shit out of this commentary! More please :D

Xin Bin

Who knows? Maybe we caught him on a good day. I like to think we work to get people into a comfortable space - but I'm terrible at giving myself credit for anything so who knows :D

I've now watched the docs with commentary and just wanted to say: Rocket League: It's such a trip to see the five year growth of NoClip! DOOM: The stinger during the credits of Hugo is still hilarious. STILL my favorite doc, both for the game and for the "world exclusive" access of both DOOM 4 footage and the QuakeCon video. Which, to that end, a QuakeCon doc would be AWESOME! CD Projekt: .........Yes, follow up please, if/when they're cool with you guys doing so. The story of CyberPunk will be forever fascinating to me. I'm personally waiting (however long it takes) for the studio to put out the patches for the console ports to the point of playability, as I want my first experience to be a good one, and the background of how CyberPunk released in the state it did would be incredible context. Hillbilly Agenda: You guys HAVE to go back if/when it's safe to do so. They look like such a fun group of people! And yes, the RV would be PERFECT to try and pull it off. Bethesda: The full history of studios like this, CD Projekt, and Arkane are super deep, and while a MASSIVE undertaking, doing a studio history once every couple of years would be really neat. Retrospectives of a studio are super insightful.

Always wanted to know: Todd Howard seemed more, giggly, loose and in a good mood than pretty much any interview I've seen him in, where he is generally a lot more reserved and serious. Is this just a testament to your effervescent personality Danny?

Awesome!

I hope you like them we had a blast recording them. I think we'll do it again in the future for sure. The bandcamp versions probably won't sell much so I'm glad we can at least give them to patrons.

Noclip

Awesome! Thanks again for doing these. This is the thing I was the most excited about from the new Patreon stuff!

This is a clean recording of our director commentary audio with no sounds from the video. So you can play the doc audio on the YouTube player if you wish - though we talk over it so probably worth turning the YouTube audio down to 20-30% or so.

Noclip

Do we play this over the audio of the doc, or is the doc audio track included in this commentary track?
