HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRONS!!!

This one covers a lot so I'm gonna keep the text part brief.

Noclip turns 5 tomorrow (September 12th) and enters a brand new era. One that we are still trying to figure out. But we also have some exciting ideas to talk about. So sit back, relax, and let me update you on everything that's going on at Noclip, the docs on the way, and the big answers to year six's difficult questions.

Thank you all so much for your support.

Danny

Also - don’t feel bad about not having the answers yet. I work in tech and we’re in the same position and what we agreed on - let’s take time, experiment and eventually we’ll figure it out. I think you should approach it the same way - do a couple of experiments, try new things but don’t commit long term to a single approach. Not yet at least.

My initial reaction - RV will be a money sink that might hurt Noclip. My second thought - we’ll, but if maybe you don’t buy, but rent one for one doc and see how it goes - who knows, it might be smth that helps the docs over the coming year to stand out. 😁 So my vote - rent vs buy!

Hey Danny, congrats on the 5 years. Two questions, 1 - are you planning on doing pre release docs again? Or is that a no no after Fallout? 2 - I'd love to see a Star Citizen retro or something with Chris Roberts, seeing how it's evolved and the decisions made. I know a lot of that stuff Is public, but it's so spread out right now. It would be good to have in a more condensed form. Keep up the good work!

I'm actually super into the idea of the RV lol. I'm one of those industry workers who isn't going back to the office and just started closing on a house. I think it would be really neat to allow people like myself to express how the changing landscape of games employment has been for us. I never thought I'd get to own a home, I thought I'd be city jumping every 2 years, throwing money away on rent, never putting down roots. Covid changed all that in an instant, and it was a blessing in disguise for me. I've never felt more stable or happy. I feel like my work has improved tenfold, easily. It could be a very interesting insight into the changing nature of remote work.

Happy birthday Noclip!

Thanks for the update Danny! Just wanted to leave a comment on not only saying I'm looking forward to the next projects, but also wish NoClip a Happy Birthday and a MASSIVE Congratulations on becoming a citizen! And because I'm an enabler at times, the RV idea is incredibly funny.
