Hey Patrons
Here is the first of two documentaries we'll be releasing this month. We're just back from our trip to Copenhagen and are deep into the edit on our feature(s) on Hitman and IO Interactive. But first, something a little different!
In this latest doc we investigate the evolution of E3. With interviews from Marcin Iwiński, Mary Kish, IGN, Vice Games, Rebb Ford, Tim Schafer, Ben Pack, Kahlief Adams, SkillUp and many others, we look at how the conference has changed over the past 25 years in response to the changing face of games coverage.
This mixes the travelogue style of our Half-Life doc with a lot more run-and-gun filming. It was a great learning experience for myself and Jeremy, and if people enjoy it I'd love to do more stuff like this.
Let us know what you think in the comments below!

I finally had a chance to watch this. Danny - this was absolutely amazing. You do such a great job with all your documentaries, but I feel like you're just getting better and better at it. Such an enjoyable and insightful watch; I've watched and followed tons of E3 coverage for a decade +, but this is the first time I truly felt like I understood what it was like to be at the show.

2019-07-17 13:54:52 +0000 UTCTo be frank, I don't know what took me so long to join your Patreon, apologies. Between the Horizon doc, the ongoing Hades series, and the Half-Life documentary, I've been negligent. Obviously, I've loved noclip for some time, but this was the video that sent me to click the "become a patreon" button. I swear, the quality of you folks' work is goddamn astonishing. Thank for leading us behind the curtains of a conference that has always been a confusing, [formerly?] sexed up, awkward hoopla that never made any sense to this Wisconsinite, circa 2019. Can the next noclip piece be about Devolver?

2019-07-12 03:49:52 +0000 UTCThis was awesome and well worth the wait. Unlike everyone else's coverage, you guys found a way to make a relatively underwhelming E3 interesting by focusing on the ins and outs of the show itself as opposed to the announcements. Also that reaction to Blair Witch was priceless. I love seeing people nerd out it makes you feel good inside lol

2019-07-09 21:18:41 +0000 UTCThat may be my favorite E3 coverage of the year, if not ever. Keep killin' it, Danny!

2019-07-09 02:04:02 +0000 UTCThanks so much! Yea a little bit of an easy wind-down as folks get tired and start to see the finish line. The last day really is the best. When most of the work is done and you can just kinda exhale and enjoy it.

2019-07-09 02:03:52 +0000 UTCI’m about halfway through the doc but I just wanted to comment now and say its fantastic, I really enjoy all these behind the scene looks.

2019-07-08 22:31:36 +0000 UTCFantastic deep dive into the show I have followed since it’s inception and perhaps the best sense I have had of it yet. Was the way in which the pace slowed at the end of the doc intentional as a way to convey the exhaustion of the show?

2019-07-08 22:27:31 +0000 UTCI have never been, but I feel like I got much more of the 'feel' than I have had before. Hype AF! Also Patrick is so pure!
