Also a question to which the answer is obvious…why are developers such frigging idiots?

I love seeing a tree full of vultures…first time I’ve seen a tower full of them. Bless my father for teaching me the importance of vultures way back in the late 1950s when I was 8 years old. I was horrified when I saw a flock eating a dead cow…he explained why that was a good thing.

Bummer about that lizard. God I hate to see it. At least he made some friends on his way out

Oaks are beautiful...i have to say a love the Quercus suber that i see in Portugal...love the branches, love the leafs, love the bark🥰...i have one that germinate, had some bad days, but survive...and is growing again🙂. The silver colour of the leafs is telling something about the climate🤔😃

Goddamnit, I just planted a "Live Oak" that the city of San Antonio gave to me at a volunteer event... how can I tell if it's a true Q. fusiformis? I'm worried they gave me something else. It's only about a foot tall, so far, and I'd much rather have a Q. fusiformis... should I JUST be looking for a white abaxial leaf surface, or would phenotypic plasticity cause some confusion?
