So, I wanted to begin by noting that the game’s first update grows close to completion. Only a few scripts remain at this writing, which the artists take care of as soon as I pass them on for rendering.
Usually, the end of the year is meant for reflection; we haven’t really needed to do that. We had decided last month to pause subscriptions at both Patreon and Subscribestar, and it was the right thing to do. Whether our supporters have been with us from the beginning, or just signed up recently, we want to honor that commitment you made, and not leave the impression that we were asking you to pay for no return on that investment. This has been a long process because most of us were new to game development.
There is no other excuse than that. And as project manager, it’s primarily my fault. I have learned the ways to keep development moving along, and subsequent updates won’t take nearly this long. We are getting better at knowing exactly what to do to make Update 2, 3, and 33 roll out relatively smoothly.
So I guess what I am saying is that we respect and care about all of you, our supporters. Jefferson Sound, Pink Spectre, Riam Mar, SteveART, and myself wish all of you the best of this holiday season. We [and the game release] will see you in early 2026.
