Which one?

Mate the series: currently 6 episodes out, heard good things but kinda of worried if I will enjoy it bc it’s a chao planoy and I haven’t really like many of their work outside of Pluto. I also know it’s a gl/bl mix but I think it’s mainly a gl.

Petrichor: currently 5 episodes out, was very excited for it based on the trailer and synopsis but due to SMYM releasing 2 ep per week (I thought it would be only 1 ep so I could watch both series at the same time) it was put on hold. After the first two ep aired I’ve head a lot of negative review on the acting and script but the rating is high on iqiyi so idk.

If you seen either pls provide some spoiler free review or thoughts.

Won’t lie I’m not into either. Mate feels like imo it’s not consistent or really well written? Even though some people love it. Petrichor is fine, its kinda flat drama wise, the mystery isn’t that engaging and I guess the couples are okay but nothing to root for (but this is just my opinion) I think I’m looking forward to US up next and wanna check out Buy my boss and Shades. Pluto has really been one of my favorite GLs thus far. It’s really engaging

if you like stories about murder cases, forensics, detective. Petrichor is the choice. Maybe the acting is a little bit dry in some parts, but it gets better in the next episodes. So far, the cinematography, budget, plot, and the details are great. It's still worth to watch.

Petricor I dropped after 2 episodes and Mate I'm still watching if that means much. Petricor just felt a bit dry. I don't know what it was but maybe shows like Pluto and TSOU made me expect more from actors of Engfa and Charlotte's level. Also I loved LMSY in Affair, but the last 3 episodes were hard to watch.

Well, it's a mixed bag. "Mate" is good, if a little too close to "Gap" (with the addition of past abuse) . The BL part is so far secondary (if not tertiary) at best. "Petrichor" so far is ludicrous as a whodunnit, but the chemistry of the two GL "couples" (and one - potential - BL one?) makes it all bearable, if you like stories about corruption and conspiracies. So far, I'm enjoying "Mate" more, but am weary what the plot might bring as it's Chao Planoy.
