Dragon 5 Chapter 19

The night and party had continued on without further incident, and attendance had thinned out while the now three orgies around the party blossomed. I could feel the party nearing its natural wrap up, and I was eager to see if I couldn’t get my third apology from the Winter Queen.

“So, did you get two from my mother?” Maeve asked as her assistant made eyes at me from behind her.

“Maybe.” I grinned. “Can I ask why you or your assistant aren’t taking part in the orgies?” Not that I wanted her to, but I wanted to know.

“I have no desire to potentially marry any of those taking part.” Maeve said simply. “Many of them are hoping to become pregnant and tie down a spouse. My mother has a husband, and though Summer’s husband has passed, she has remained loyal to her deceased husband.”

“What about your assistant?” The blue nymph made no attempt to hide naked desire as Maeve turned.

“She has other men in mind who are not currently participating. Plus, she is mine.” Maeve narrowed her eyes on her assistant.

The nymph grinned. “What she means to say is that she saved my life by taking me in. I’ve willingly sworn myself to her, and in return, I get to satiate her desires if she is feeling them. Recently, she has needed my services more and more.” The nymph wiggled her eyebrows at me.

Maeve’s cheeks flushed before her eyes flashed with anger.

“Does that mean you’re a package deal?” I asked, stepping in.

The nymph’s cheeks blushed purple. “Yes, as I’m bound to serve Maeve. I would happily serve her future husband as well.” Her glamor came up in full force as she batted her eyelashes at me.

“Do not glamor him.” Maeve scolded her, though her tone was light.

“He practically asked me to.” Evelyn complained. “I would share.”

Sarisha coughed into her hand next to me. “Please do share with the dragons, too.”

“Of course.” Evelyn beamed. “I’m a nymph. Sharing isn’t a problem.”

Maeve glared at her for her words. This time, the look was harsher. “A dragon king does not share. Do be careful with how he would interpret those words.”

Evelyn’s eyes went wide. “My apologies, mistress. I only meant that I would be more than happy to be amid a harem’s writhing on the bed. Do you think my skin tone would look good amid your other mates?” The question was directed at me, and the little nymph was purposefully directing the conversation back towards sex.

Thankfully, something else drew us out of the cycle.

Just then, the Summer Queen clapped her hands, and little fireworks shot up into the air, growing in intensity until they lit up the night.

I noted the effective way to get everybody’s attention.

The orgies slowed down and stopped to look up at the stage.

Summer and Winter stood from their thrones and stood before the audience.

“We thank all of you for joining us tonight. Our brief recess comes to a close shortly, and we have one last thing to do.” Summer spoke first.

Winter picked up where she left off. “To celebrate all the dragons who have joined our party, we offer a gift and our thanks.” She lifted her hand to the chandelier above, and it floated down towards me.

I watched it come down, wondering if I had enough room in my bracer to fit it. Because getting it put on the back of a large truck bed seemed excessive and dangerous.

“Morgana, would you be a dear and make this a little more carryable?” I had to raise my voice to reach my mate.

Morgana had no problem stepping forward and using her spatial magic to reduce the space that the chandelier took up.

It created a strange paradox. Looking at it was almost uncomfortable, but I could grab hold of it and not smack everyone in the party.

There were murmurs around the group.

Morgana rarely showed off her spatial magic, but she had become more frivolous with it now that she had my blood. Its potency and availability allowed her to be free of guilt when using it. And in return, I feasted at her bar. The steak was to die for.

It was a win-win.

“I appreciate the gift to the dragon kind and the apology to me it represents.” I took the chandelier in hand and drew it into my bracer as an enormous wave of magic crashed over The Winter Queen and myself.

She gasped as a connection was forged between us.

Her silver eyes went nearly white with fury, and the surrounding crowd went completely silent.

“You.” she hissed, but the effect was somewhat muted as Ikta started howling with laughter amid the silence.

Despite Ikta’s outburst, the Winter Queen didn’t lift her gaze from me.

Summer cleared her throat. “Well, what a way to end the party. And I am happy to see us cement the relationship between the fae and dragons.” She tried to play it off as if the third thanks was on purpose.

It had the desired effect. The crowd collectively let out a breath and then cheered while the Winter Queen attempted to relax and not show her anger. But she never took her eyes off of me.

Maeve gave me a little finger wave across the party, but she didn’t dare come over at that moment while her mother watched closely.

And I couldn’t blame her. I could only imagine how enraged her mother would be if she realized Maeve had helped coach me.

The dragonettes and my mates gathered around me protectively as the party came to a close, and we headed out.

“So, did you girls come to an agreement with Summer at the wedding?” I asked as we trooped back up the slope to the limo.

Many of them looked between each other, finally settling on Scarlett to give me the news.

“It will be complex, but with Summer’s help in the faerie realm, there should be no problem giving each of us the wedding we desire.” Scarlett replied.

I swallowed around a lump in my throat. “Each of you are getting a wedding?”

Jadelyn laughed. “Look at him fret.”

“Not exactly.” Kelly clung to my arm and gave me puppy dog eyes. “But we want it to be perfect and have our own moment with you. We can say our vows thrice, and in faerie realm they will be compelling, so be prepared to make a bunch of vows. Otherwise, you just need to show up.”

Nodding along, I accepted it as I filed into the waiting limo. “Not a problem. That is the least I could do for each of you.”

Yev pulled my head to the side and kissed me as she got in. “Thank you, mate. I promise it won’t be too hard, but it will be memorable for all of us.”

While she was peppering me with kisses, someone else’s hand was wandering up my thigh, and their soft touches were bringing to attention.

Surrounded by my mates while also having the dragon ladies pumping out pheromones in the tight limo, I quickly came to attention.

Jadelyn knocked on the divider between us and the driver. The window slid open. “Yes, Miss Scalewright?”

“Please drive around for a while. There’s no rush getting back. Also, discretion would be preferred.”

He nodded professionally and slid the window back up, keeping his face forward toward the road.

Then Jadelyn crawled across the floor towards me. “I always wanted to do it in the back of a limo.”

My eyes flickered over to the line of dragonettes, who were holding their breath as Jadelyn continued crawling on the floor, coming up in front of me and nuzzling her face along my thigh into my lap.

A single note rang out of her throat as she looked up, filling my head with soft, silky pleasure. I was at hardened attention immediately.

“Jade, I love you.” I cupped her face and ran my fingers through her soft hair.

“What about me?” Scarlett leaned over Jadelyn, trailing a kiss along my neck.

I knew Scarlett needed a little extra attention in the harem, so I pulled my kitsune in close, crushing her to me as my hands wandered down to her hips and sought for the bottom of her dress.

My cock came out of my pants, and I felt Jadelyn go down on me as my hand went up Scarlett’s dress and found no underwear.

She smiled into the kiss and captured my lip, holding me there as my fingers went to work.

There was moaning to my left as Yev pinned Kelly to the seat and asserted her dominance over the alpha wolf. I wondered who would be dominant among those two. I dominated both of them, but I wasn’t sure who would shake out on top.

I craned my neck for a moment, only to have my face pulled back by Scarlett. She smiled at me as she captured my lips as she bounced on my fingers.

I let out a moan as Jadelyn trailed her tongue along me, leaning over and taking me deeper into her mouth.

I found myself lost in the moment until a phone ringing startled me out of it.

Polydora picked the phone up off the seat and answered it in hushed tones.

Scarlett and Jadelyn ignored the call, continuing to kiss and suck on me.

I heard Polydora’s voice hitch each time that Scarlett moaned and thrust herself down on me. I couldn’t help but smile into my kiss with Scarlett.

“My king, it is the agent Tills.” Polydora stated, clearly not pleased with having to interrupt me.

“Is it an emergency?” I pulled myself away from Scarlett for a moment.

“She sounds frantic.” Polydora reported sheepishly.

I growled low enough to make the windows of the limo vibrate. “Get the details from her and direct the driver. I’m not to be disturbed until we are close.”

A little of my frustration at being interrupted came through as I grabbed Jadelyn’s head and thrust it down on me, hurrying her up.

I came out of the moment enough that I noticed all the dragonette’s staring at me with wide eyes.

I paused, feeling self-conscious for a moment. But after the orgies we had all just witnessed, I decided to let go of that awkwardness. Instead, I enjoyed their eyes, letting myself feel powerful.

I smiled at them as Jadelyn worked with my member. Maybe one day I’d line my honor guard up and fill them up one by one to brood.

The beast roared in my chest, demanding that I make ‘one day’ into ‘today’, but I pushed it aside. The current moment was for my mates.

Looking over, I noticed that Morgana had pushed Tyrande up under her dress and was sighing blissfully as the high elf lapped at her. Noticing my attention, she pulled down the top of her dress and began fondling her breasts, leaning back and moaning a little extra for me.

I could feel myself about to explode into Jadelyn as I watched.

Firm hands found my face, and I was once again looking deep into my kitsune’s eyes as she came on top of my fingers. Sinking down on top of me, she collapsed to the side, nuzzling and kissing my neck as Jadelyn worked to finish me off.

***

We pulled up to the location around twenty minutes later. It wasn’t as long as I would have liked with my mates, but it had at least been enough to take the edge off.

Later, I’d grab my mates and take them back to my hoard.

Stepping out of the limo in front of a dark warehouse, I straightened my tie and shook out the sleeves of my suit.

“My king, she appears to have been attacked, along with her partner. For the moment, she has sequestered herself inside this building.” Polydora stepped out of the limo alongside me.

My mates were laying lazily in the limo, seeming to have no interest in anything but enjoying their post orgasm bliss. “Polydora, with me. The rest of you protect my mates.”

The agent’s BMW was parked up against the chain-link fence, right by a hole in the fence that looked as if it had been there for some time.

Frustrated at being disturbed, I went with the most direct route.

I used a quick wash of my ice breath and froze the fence in front of me. Then I backhanded the brittle metal, breaking off a section large enough for me to duck through.

“What else do we know?” I asked Polydora.

“Not much. Agent Tills said had an encounter with very fast people. Vampires, I expect.” Polydora ducked through the fence with me. “My king, what do you intend to do?”

“Kill anything that moves and pull the agent out of wherever she is hiding. Then I’ll take my mates back to my hoard and enjoy the night as I had intended.”

I tried to tell myself it was just a minor diversion, as I tried not to get upset at the agent for needing my assistance. It was necessary that I pull her out of this though. A dead FBI agent would be a colossal mess for the council.

The warehouse was closed up, but a lock wasn’t going to stop me. I stepped up to one of the bay doors and shifted my fingers to golden claws. They sank easily through the sheet metal of the door, and I jerked the bottom.

I had expected to break the lock, but I ripped the bottom frame out of the lock with the screeching sound of tearing metal.

“You have alerted everything here to your presence.” Polydora stated the obvious, and I rolled my eyes.

“Thanks, whatever would I do without you?” The sarcasm was dripping from my voice as I heard a rapid pitter patter of bare feet on the stone floor.

A haggard vampire came around the corner.

I didn’t hesitate, pulling one of the twigs from my bracer and activating it.

The vampire froze before it could move, and I stepped up to it to get a better look.

“Fresh.” I said and reached over, opening its jaw before tearing out its two fangs. After learning the signs from Morgana, it was the first thing I checked.

Then I was curious about how the enchantment would do. I waited, seeing if the enchantment would hold, and it did.

Smiling, I gave myself a mental pat on the back for good work before I tore the vampire’s head from its shoulders.

I paused, acknowledging some of that might have been left over with frustration at the interruption, but it was highly therapeutic.

“Kill all the vampires and keep their fangs intact if you can. It’s possible one of them was the one that turned Maddie.” I kept my focus on what was important.

“Yes, my king.” Polydora stepped up to a forklift that looked like it had been left in mid-operation and ripped off one of the forks before crushing part of it in her grip to make a more manageable handle.

The bronze dragon now had a sword. Or maybe it was more like a metal bat. It didn’t need to be that sharp with how hard she could swing it.

I was a little impressed with her quick thinking. “Come on.” There was more noise amid the warehouse, and it seemed focused in one of the far corners.

“This place appears to have been in operation before this attack.” Polydora noted. It felt like fork trucks and pallets of material were suspended in the middle of a workday rather than being put away.

“No.” I disagreed. “This was in operation before it was set up as a death trap for Agent Tills.”

The whole situation reminded me of the abandoned apartment building.

“The war tactic that Morgana mentioned?” Polydora asked before assessing the situation. “I suspect it would be highly effective if someone else hadn’t already sprung the trap.”

I was more concerned that whoever was behind the attacks had turned everyone in an active warehouse. It was far less subtle than an abandoned apartment, and it was much more likely to draw human attention.

The urge to just wipe out all the vampires on my own was growing as we walked through the large metal rack.

Moving towards the corner, we approached a partition in the warehouse. From what I could see, there were over a dozen vampires scrabbling over and around what looked like a freezer door.

Many of them were wearing reflective vests and hardhats, only confirming my theory that the location had been recently turned and left as a trap.

Polydora held out her ‘sword’ for me to hold.

I took it, and she took off her dress, handing it to me as she started to shift. I tried not to look, but it was hard not to as the beautiful woman shimmied out of her dress.

Polydora gained little height, but she filled out and packed on muscle underneath a new scaly armor.

Then she held out her hand for her sword back. “I will be only a moment, my king. Please keep my dress safe. I like this one.”

I nodded dumbly as she stalked forward like a big cat, ready to pounce. Although the large forklift sword she was carrying made her look far more deadly.

The first vampire to turn and lunge for her was torn in half by the blunt sword, and it was messy. The vampire’s entire midsection went missing with a casual swing of Polydora’s weapon.

I wasn’t sure if it had been on purpose, but the blunt blade caused maximum carnage. I knew at a single glance that the vampire’s healing would be strained with wounds caused by the heavy blow.

The rest of the vampires present turned instantly, aware of the danger now among them. They moved to attack Polydora as one.

The amazonian dragon stepped around casually, almost as if she were practicing a dance in the privacy of her home. But as she moved, her weapon swung out, catching vampires with each swing and tearing them apart.

Not a single one got close to touching her.

It was almost beautiful in a gory way to watch her fight. The dragon in me smiled in satisfaction to see how effortlessly she tore apart the dozen vampires.

I was still watching with a slack jaw as she finished and whipped her weapon to the side to splash a little blood off of it and away from her.

“What would you have me do now, my king?” Polydora put her hand on her hip and cocked it to the side with a raised eyebrow.

It took me a moment before I was able to speak. “Pop the door open. I don’t think we need to hide ourselves anymore. It sounds like our friend Agent Tills just got a crash course in the paranormal.”

AN - Think I'll finish the book tomorrow at 32 or 33 chapters.

Comments

Ohh yes because all woman are borderline lesbians and just love p*ssy. How many have you actually met?

Ayce-o-Spades

It's kind of depressing how going from alluding to bisexual activity to actually featuring a brief scene of it leads to so much pearl clutching. Heaven forbid the women do anything other than form an orderly line and wait to be granted the privilege of having sex with the man.

The whole point for these previews is to see if the readers will like it are not. I love 99.9% of this series. This 2 paragraph just didn't feel right to me (and a small portion of others). If people couldn't comment they wouldn't alow us to comment. At the end of the day I will still buy the book and the audio. Edit: Sorry of I'm coming off rude. I mean no disrespect. I think the author is an amazing wrighter and look forward to all their future work.

I thought it was very well done, tasteful, and quite entertaining, so ... I'd say something done right. I'm not going to tell an author what to write though!
