So, this update comes with good and bad news.

The poll at the bottom lets you vote for which characters you want to see on the next two books of Heretic Spellblade. I originally wanted to put Ciana on Book 4 and Vala on Book 5, but have the chance to revisit this choice.

The reason is that I'm changing artist for Heretic Spellblade. The cause is personal to the artist, and I'll respectfully not disclose it. Let's leave it at that. As fantastic as her covers have been, life goes on. There are always more artists out there, and I make more than enough from my books to pay for good artists. For example, the Demon's Throne covers are fantastic and I adore them.

There are quite a few characters who could do with a cover, although some might not necessarily work commercially. For instance, Kadria is basically out due to her appearance. Ciana's unicorn horn might not work with some art styles. There are commercial aspects to cover design that I won't go into much, especially as I barely know what I'm doing.

By contrast, someone like Sen almost feels like she is owed a cover. She'd likely get an upgrade to her bust size in the process, however, for marketing reasons.

So consider the poll a fun way to indicate which characters you want to see on a cover. I might use a less popular character, especially if I feel they'd produce a better cover with the artist I go with. Book 6 is still locked onto a specific future character. Although I did get an interesting idea about another character, and she might steal the cover if I don't put her on Book 4. There may also be extra covers, such as if I extended the series by a book, or needed a compilation cover for the (far) future.
