I have been learning a bit of Blender, because honestly I'm really testing the limits of what I can achieve in the old free editions of the software formerly known as Google Sketchup. I have some vivid mind-pictures of how I want some aspects of this comic I'm developing to look, like this ring-shaped building, but the perspective from the inside of a ring shaped building is super complicated to construct manually, so I really want to make some refs.

As I said, Sketchup can't really help, it doesn't have any non-destructive editing, but in blender, I've worked out how to array collections along a circle now, so In theory I should have all the tools I need. I really hope it can do section cuts hmm.

This is some in-progress work on one of two dorm levels. Two girls to a room, unless I change my mind and make it three. There's a complicated simultaneous equation with the size of the student body, the number of girls per room, and the radius of the building as a whole. I'm trying to find the right aesthetic balance of all three. The current layout is based on a repeating three-room unit, with a little shared raised bit for shoeshelves and coat racks and stuff.
