I don't know if you guys realized this but Hiei is the only one on the team who hasn't lost a match. Kuwabara lost a few times, Kurama lost against Karasu and Yusuke i believe was disqualified earlier in the tournament

Absolutely cannot wait and you're probably right. Bui's mental state was wreaking havoc and their artstyle was also trying to mimic the same desperation or something. It was one of the best so far!

I don't think he is evil at all just like you said. The guy actually had no choice it seems like, so he was just going along.

Yeah, this episode is intense from what I understand they have a different director who took lead on this episode which is why the animation style was so drastically different. To be honest I really dig the stylized changes and weird angles/distorted look of Bui and Hiei. To me it seemed reflective of Bui's mental state in that fight going from confident to down right terrified. We're in the final end game and this arc only continues to get better and better until it's conclusion.

Yea, there's definitely a few episodes that clearly have different animators.

It actually was his choice die or fight.

The animators def took some liberties to add expression to the characters. reminded me of old American cartoons a bit. LOVE this episode

It’s funny how each fight has a different feel and dynamic. Kurama vs Karasu was more about strategy and Hiei vs Bui was just about raw power. Kuwabara vs Elder Toguro will be interesting too, and of course Yusuke vs Toguro is extremely personal and it’s the fight this entire arc and tournament was building up to.

Bui never seemed that evil to me. He’s actually quite an honorable warrior that values and respects strength.
