-Look for BIG+SIMPLE shapes. You can see this primarily in the pockets of shadows and cast shadows. Create clear, graphic shapes.
-Simplify 3D forms- I like to break things down into more angular, geometric forms as it helps me more easily think about in in 3-Dimensional space, and in turn better decide where to convincingly place shadows and such!
