Behind the scene .... :)

Hi fellow makers, i just wanted to share a little "whats been going on"  :)

As some of you know to be able to produce some nice models, lots of patreon work actually gets done "behind the scenes" , those are the parts you dont see as often, but i assure you the time and research placed into each project is quite intenslly filled up, so this time i wanted to share with you what that looks like a bit :)

People usually ask "what models will i be getting ?", and previous patreon members know its not only about the models, the stl files, its also about everything else arround it. The research, testing, prototyping, finding out new ways to build something, new ideas, new aproaches to our builds, pretty much growing and developing each day, and to be able to share it with you :)

There were some things i've been working on and tried to find some solution to some builds that we taked about wich i think i finally did. No wonder this is the most copied props patreon out there bcs i really do invest lots of time and effort to think of new ways and ideas to bring to our table and the way of doing it.

The first thing to tackle was the Obi-Wan Kenobi functional lightsaber aaaaand  3d printable ???  yup :D

- when it comes to functional sabers that use the same piece of electronics so far we have: ronin, lightnarsil, ep2 vision, lighthammer, spider lightmace, family hairloom saber and imperial jedi saber. So i want to use the same electronics (without doing damages to it) for obi wan buid as well.

But the problem was always the thin neck that made it difficult to functional with our lightsaber hilts.

So i took apart the electronics, and will do a step by step guide on how to transfer the light emmiter to the upper portion of the blade so you can 3d print Obi-Wan's lightsaber and make it functional :) I have ordered the jumper cables to extend the light source, so just waiting on it to arrive, and thats it - the electronis core remains untouched and can be once again switched between saber hilts as before :)

Armors and helmets

 - always trying to make helmet and armor printing as easy as possible and improve where it can be, sooooooooo finaly my 3d scanner is here - now keep in mind this is not a super high grade scaner buuuuuut the accuracy on this thing is impressive, as is the scanner itself, so ofc im gonna use it to make bunch of cool stuff for us :D

- this is just a test preview, im gonna have some of my friends help me out to scan my body and head bcs its difficult to do it yourself,

but what it will allow me to do :

- create more 1:1 scale accurate helmets and armor parts

-  create more cosplay comfortable parts

- create new size/scale reference point stl and calibration strips and files so you can also as easly as possible scale the helmets and armors to your own bodies and to your own needs.

- create all sorts of crazy mashups combinng real world parts and 3d printers

Crazy things ahead, i have an insane ammount of ideas now that i can capture real life size and scale data :D cant wait :D

One of the next armors is the batman build - so i wanted to wait a bit untill i got the scanner so i test the design approach with 1:1 my body scale in mind - in the photos is just a test, but the idea works.

Now it takes a while to use how to use the scanner, so i also had to learn new piece of software as well. As mentioned, i really do my best to reserach and improve and bring you user friendly files and projects. No doubt the ideas seen here will be copied as we have seen in the past few monts, but with the best support in the world ( you guys) i dont really even care about this, so lets just keep on doing our own thing :)

Thats it, a few words from me, and i'm jumping back to work, to bring you more awesome things :)

appreciate the support buddy :)

Thank you Marko. For everything behind the scenes and all the hard work and thought that goes into every design you bring to life.
