This premiere brought us new management, new colleagues, new rules, new versions of characters we love?? (looking at you Helly R!) and yet we are SO BACK!!! Praise Kier!

I was so excited about that, I forgot the rest of my comment. I love that ya'll noticed Dylan's vulnerability in this episode. He can come off kind of tough, with his bluntless and endless joking, but you can see how much he cares about the others. The way he insisted that the others get their chance to go see who they are in the real world. The way that tiny glimpse of his son burrowed into his heart right away, and his friendship with Irviing, of course. I love it.

2025-01-22 23:51:11 +0000 UTCUpon a rewatch noticed an interesting thing Milchick said at the beginning of this episode. He said both Helly R and Irving B made contact "with persons on the outside". We all saw Helly R's contact, the speech, which was filmed, there were reporters present and surely they spread that around the world. What about Irving B's contact? We do not see it, Irving B's innie is turned off at the end but we can speculate. Burt and his husband both must have run to their front door, alarmed at the loud noise. Burts husband grabs his weapon just to be safe. There is a discussion at the door. Burts husband listens to this crazy man, talking about 'oh I don't know why I'm here. But I know Burt lives here, I work at Lumon and I know he recently retired, yes I'm gay, yes I'm single, but really I don't love Burt' etc. Burts husband is enraged at Burt, much shouting occurs now, and Burts husband takes out Burt and himself. Or just one or the other. Even powerful Lumon cannot cover this up, the notorious speech and a murder/suicide on the same night. So reporters get a foothold into Lumon, however small, and Lumon must answer questions, at least labor relation questions. So although the film about the uprising is crap, it does contain a kernel of truth. Lumon had to change a bit because of the speech and the murder/suicide both happening on the same night. Instead of it being all nice and shiny and lovely, the actual thing Lumon is now known for is the workroom related violence, both against their employees, and the employees against each other.

She's such a phenomenal actress and I think she's really going to blow us away this season 🤭 and as far as their work what you said definitely makes sense!! i realllly want to know what they're doing--it keeps me up at night. and idk about the timeline either because there are a few reasons to think it hasn't actually been a long time. so excited to get some questions answered this season!

There are so many hints at this! 23:27 Her hesitating to hug him. 24:30 / 32:24 Her trying to "reassure" there are no cameras or mics. 38:57 Her saying we're not the same like they are not "equal" 39:33 Her happily saying she'll stay when leaving was her main goal in S1 Lastly 47:24 Her fumbling turning on her computer I also think that is the more "TWIST" instead of the other way around because their clearly passing her off as Helly and lots of people didn't even catch on to that theory like others. They can probably make if she was Helly R work but I can handle another storyline where a character hides crucial information out of guilt hahah.

2025-01-19 16:04:11 +0000 UTCThis episode did such a good job of toggling us back and forth from thinking “oh yep that’s Helena” to “okay maybe? It’s Helly”. I heavily think it’s Helena unfortunately, and I hate that a lot. The small detail at the end of all of them turning on their computers but she was struggling to find the switch kind of set it in stone for me. I feel like based on the trailer, we are at least going to see her right after she got tackled in the S1 finale then talking to Cobel and we’re going to get a lot more outie perspective in general for all of them. Also I’ve always theorized the “work” they’re doing is somehow either programming their own chips or testing them, or they are maybe working on others’ chips. We know Gemma was sent to the testing floor, so I kind of took the ending to mean maybe Mark is working on her chip? Idk, lemme know what y’all think. I’m curious to know — do y’all buy it’s really been five months since they’ve returned to work?
