ALIEN 3 (1992) *REACTION* FIRST TIME WATCHING!

The war against extra-terrestrials rages on as we check back in with Ellen Ripley in this first time watch of ALIEN 3! It’s a Mother vs Mother-off once and for all as two iconic legends face off for the crown, proving that perhaps space really does only have room for one Queen to rule them all πŸ›ΈπŸ‘ΎπŸ₯š

The queen does burst out of Ripley as she falls. I saw this in the cinema (Yikes) I just sat and cried, Ripley was such an icon in my childhood. I prefer it to the first surprisingly.

I don't hate it but.. it's like they said: Oh hey, you liked the brave space marines and adorable surrogate daughter from Aliens? Well here’s a bunch of bald, violent rapist cult-prisoners who worship fire and hate women. ENJOY! I'm reading that Fincher had no control, editors were cutting without his input, scripts rewritten daily, studio forcing early CGI. Cinematography was great, at least. He later said: β€œTo this day, no one hates it more than me.”

Agent Andrew

I just wanted to thank yall for watching this version, I do appreciate and love the reaction content

I know I’m in the minority, but I actually like this one. Always have. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

We actually have seen Copycat before! Soooo good. And good for her lol if she's going to be messing with her hair like this they better compensate accordingly!

One of my favorite lesser known Sigourney movies is Copycat - worth a watch. And, yes, she did shave her head. It was in her contract that the studio had to pay her big bucks if she had to reshave it for reshoots. They ended up hand punching hairs into a bald cap for reshoots.

I have to confess this is my first time watching the assembly cut. Right out of the gate, I acknowledged new scenes and deeper character development for the prisoners. Although I found this version to be more enjoyable than the theatrical release, it's still a deeply flawed and unpleasant film with barely any sympathetic characters. There are some wonderful actors in this, but they and we as an audience deserved a better script.

Chad Moore

Ripley deserved better. I honestly don't like this movie because it just doesn't feel thrilling or suspenseful like Alien or Aliens. Now that being said a David Fincher movie I highly recommend y'all watch for the channel is 1997's THE GAME starring Michael Douglas. It is a great thriller.

Joshua Scott

In the theatrical version, the embryo bursts out of her chest a few seconds before the lava bath.

I love β€œAlien Resurrection”, can’t wait for you to see it! The movie also stars Brad Dourif and Winona Ryder.

This one was not my thing. Part of it was because beloved characters were killed off, but also because I was tired of the dark and drippy environment.

I'm one of the few that likes the next film, Alien Resurrection. It's a very different tone, but fun, imo. It's the only one I saw in the theater - at a dollar theater to boot!

Amber Kinsey

we will be watching!

Petty Pumpkins

There is an alien 4 and it's called Resurrection

I think this one is pretty underrated tbh. I hope you guys watch the prequels as well (though there are religious themes in those as well). I'm not a huge fan of religious stuff either but I think for this movie it makes sense. These are prisoners serving a life sentence. They don't have much else to hope for other than a second chance in the afterlife or whatever, which is a huge theme in the movie, redemption and sacrifice.

Vladimir Woodchester

This version is better than the theatrical release by far. That's not to say it's a great film, to me it's okay, but there are so many problems. This is a film that had a release date and an unfinished script. It had at least 2 different directors, many different scripts, and still all the prisoners are bald, faceless and devoid of individual characteristics. It's like you can't tell who is who, except for the doctor and the priest guy. They killed the doctor too early for sure. I would say you should still watch the theatrical release, just to see how much better this version is. The main change is at the beginning section and how Newt and Duane are discovered. Newt, in particular, gets much better treatment in this newer version. The actor who played Duane in Aliens had to take legal action cuz the filmmakers used a picture of him for the storyline but didn't pay him for it. Eventually he was paid much more than he got for his much larger part in Aliens. There is a making of film documentary you should see. For me, the theatrical release was bad because the special effects took over the film, sometimes in very gross ways. H R Giger stopped cooperating with the filmmakers, he was being cut out anyway by the power mad special effects crew, who were really cynical about his involvement. Jealous, more like. So yeah, this one has like more extended scenes, it's more talky, but it's still better than the theatrical release. HAPPY NEW YEAR@!πŸŽ΅πŸŽ‡πŸŽ†πŸŽ†

Richard LaMance

I love you guys lmaoooo the embryo wasn't in her head, it was in her chest like the others haha the way the shot was framed i can understand the confusion though!

Happy New Year my lovelies! ❀️
