First crying out in denial, then crying and cheering (depending on who was dying), then crying out "what?" with relieved laughter at the end of it. It was a great way I thought to have a (consequence free) action scene. Your faces were a picture to behold. I am probably one of a very small minority who wasn't bothered at all by how they did Renesmee. To have it be close at all to how she is supposed to be in the book this was I think the only way. I just told myself that this was how she was supposed to look and just went with it. I don't mind being in this minority on things, I am a (virtual) card carrying member of the Jarjar Binks fan club. I take great pride in knowing George Lucas himself is on my side, as he has said he loves that character. 😁

But when they snatched Carlisle’s head, I was clutching my blanket like my life depended on it 😭😭🤣 and then Jasper and everyone else was dying I was on the verge of tears 😫😂. I was so relieved they weren’t actually dead 😌🫶🏽

2024-05-29 02:41:20 +0000 UTCIn the book there was no fight scene, real or a vision. They literally just talked and then the Volturi left. So for people who had read the book or knew how it went it was a complete shock. Watching this in theatres was CRAZY. People screamed and cried. First when Carlisle was killed, then Jasper, Seth and Leah. And when it turned out to be Alice's vision it was such a WTF moment. But at least for me it was a good shock 'cuz I was so mad they killed them, especially Carlisle. I feel like that ending with Jacob and Renesmee was kind of cheap. It's like the most obvious thing to make them a couple. But it was clearly stated that imprinting doesn't have to be romantic. It can be a friend/brother but above all a protector. Also, imprinting is NOT a choice, it's absolutely beyond your control. Maybe it's just my biased opinion but I do feel like Stephanie Meyer did Jacob dirty in the later books (because apparently she didn't like that people were rooting for him and Bella instead of Edward and Bella). Edward was less creepy and Bella was definitely better as a vampire but I never really cared for them, even by the end. I hate that one of my favourite songs is always gonna be associated with them (A Thousand Years). Charlie was the best. I'm glad he got a happy ending and I understand they were protecting him but I feel they should have told him the truth. Charlie, Carlisle, Jasper, Emmett and Sam were DADDIES. Esme, Alice, Rosalie, Leah and Jessica were MOTHERS. I wasn't as into these books/movies as many others but I still choked up a bit at the end when they showed everyone in the credits. Now I enjoy roasting the hell out of the movies and watching other people watching them/roasting them 😂 Fun fact: The eyes of the God awful CGI baby (which, can you believe it, was even worse initally - they literally called it Chuckesmee because it resembled Chucky: https://youtu.be/7jOuy-HOcg8?si=9CdDEJYNkZ6LuTQw) were inspired by Kristen Stewart's eyes from photos of her as a baby and the team also created the teenage version using the same tech that is used to help find missing children. Another fun fact: Maggie Grace, who plays Irina, played Ian Somerhalder's stepsister on LOST. If you don't know, Ian played a vampire on The Vampire Diaries AND he is married to Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie in Twilight.
